Hotel Haaga Central Park
4.2/552 Reviews
The hotel is not in the city center but it takes more than 20 minutes by bus, opposite is the forest. The room is on the first floor, the windows can be locked, there is no kettle, it may be borrowed at the front desk, the room is not large, the water heater may not be the conventional method of opening and closing, so I do n’t know if the phone came in at night and asked if I knew the front desk number Is n’t that because they do n’t use this water heater ... Breakfast is good and the sun is plentiful.
Aalto Inn

Otaniemi
The Aalto Inn is great for a long-term stay but a nightmare for just a few days. It is NOT a hotel! There is no reception, no restaurant, no bar, no pool, no nothing! No shower soap or shampoo, no amenities. Nobody cleans it each day, and the towels and sheets you start with are the only ones you'll get! But the rooms are large and clean, with a decent kitchen with microwave, fridge, coffee pot, water cooker, utensils, pots, pans, and dishes. Good apartment, not a hotel. You MUST make sure that you get the emailed instructions before hand. These include a punch code to get in the front door and extract your room key from a weird device on the wall. Since I booked through a third-party website those did not arrive. I was literally standing outside in the snow, with no way to get in and nobody to call. Eventually another guest let me in and somehow we found a number to call, and I got into my room - after an hour! Another thing separating Aalto from a real hotel - you must clean up yourself, before you leave. Do the dishes and take out the trash - yes mommy.... But otherwise, pretty good! BTW, walk across the bridge to Min Sushi - wonderful!
Skyline Airport Hotel
4.3/5106 Reviews
A very cost-effective hotel near the airport local transfer, booked this hotel, there is a bus 🚌 direct access, the location is a bit biased. The winter night in northern Europe is long, about ten minutes walk from the nearby shopping point. There is a supermarket, bought some milk and bread. There is a separate kitchen table in the room for cooking by yourself. Suitable for backpackers traveling alone and cheap. The hotel has a shuttle bus to the airport in the morning.
Glo Hotel Sello

Leppävaara
Very good hotel, kids like it very much......, next time I come to Finland, I will stay here again, the hotel breakfast is very good, the room is very large, and a baby cot is added for free.
Scandic Meilahti

Meilahti
This was our first hotel on our 4-hotel 6-night staycation in Helsinki. The hotel is conveniently located next to the Meilahti Hospital area. My partner had an early morning check-up there and it was practical to stay the previous night nearby. Also in April, there was a point offer -50% off at this hotel. So one night was just 10000 Scandic points. Point stays are usually for standard rooms but as my partner is a Scandic TOP Level member, we were upgraded to a superior room. These rooms are spacious corner rooms with plenty of windows. It is nice that there are also windows in the bathroom. Probably because of the support column, it has been challenging to place the furniture. So the television could be watched only from the bed, not from the sofa or chair. The breakfast was pleasantly calm and had a good selection of food.
The Folks Hotel Konepaja
4.5/559 Reviews
The Folks Hotel Konepaja is located in Konepaja, a residential and commercial area near the city center. The whole area used to be a railway engineering workshop, the biggest employer in Helsinki. Now the hotel is renovated into three buildings; the oldest is 100 years old and the newest from the 1980*s. I've stayed in a Loft Room and also in a Superior Single room. Both were extraordinary experiences, but as a single traveler, I preferred the Superior Single. It's probably the most beautiful hotel single room, more spacious than an ordinary hotel room, airy and very stylish. The restaurant in a hotel building is not an ordinary hotel restaurant, but privately owned and managed by three well-known restaurant celebrities in Finland. I haven't had dinner there, but breakfast is very good, not too many alternatives, but everything looked and tasted hand-made. There is also a beautiful roof terrace where you can see the whole Konepaja area and also amusement park Linnanmäki. I recommend The Folks Hotel Konepaja for foodies and lovers, the whole place is full of romantic opportunities. When Linnanmäki opens it doors in spring, family rooms are a great option not only because of near location, but the layout of the rooms where the whole family can stay in the same room.
