Monday 21 August 2023, we arrived about five thirty in the early evening at Tregaddra Farm Bed and Breakfast which is situated on the beautiful Lizard Peninsula. for our five night stay. It is a beef and barley farm surrounded by its own land. The Farmhouse is quite and tranquil and was the perfect place to unwind. It even had its own swimming pool and tennis court which guests could use. June gave us a big warm welcome. We were then shown to our room ‘Mullion’, which was in the annex building on the ground floor and overlooked the fields and countryside at the side and rear of the house. It was a medium size room. It was a beautifully decorated; it was painted in a soft silver grey and white with pale turquoise curtains and matching pale turquoise cushions. We had a double bed, which was really comfortable. It had on lovely cool cotton sheets and duvet and soft pillows. The furniture was made of white painted wood which complimented the décor of the room. There was also a silver table lamp on the dressing table with soft lights which also added to the room’s chic look. Our bathroom was beautiful it complimented the décor of the bed room, it was of a medium size and it had a shower over a bath and was done out in white and grey with silver bathroom fittings and was very relaxing to the senses. We had lots of piping hot water. A sink and toilet, and lots of lovely soft grey fluffy towels and complementary toiletries. My husband and I unpacked and settled in, we had a quick wash and brush up before we went to dinner at the farmhouse, where we sampled June’s home-made cooking. This was very welcome especially after the long drive down, as we both had not wanted to rush out for a meal after unpacking as we both knew we would be quite tired. We were seated in June’s lovely dining room. For our main course we were served to a home-made dinner of pork in cider vinegar sauce with roast potatoes, and a nice selection of vegetables (leeks, broccoli, carrots and peas), which was very nice and very filling. We washed all this lovely food down with a nice bottle of Shiraz red wine which we had brought with us. For our dessert my husband and I had home-made lemon cheesecake with a ginger crumb base, which was really scrummy and was really delicious and was the perfect finish to our meal. We then completed our meal with a pot of decaffeinated coffee and a pot of tea. Afterwards we both felt well fed and contented. Afterwards, we went back to our room, where we curled up on the bed and I read my book for an hour whilst my husband wrote notes for the book he is writing. Later, we snuggled down in our comfortable bed like a pair of sleepy kittens and went fast asleep and we both had a good night’s sleep. Tuesday 22nd August 2023, my husband and I awoke to a bright warm sunny day, which continued that way all day. I got out of bed and had a nice ‘hot’ shower. We then dressed and went across to breakfast. My husband had the large full English break
