Great hotel and staff. But security is needed during the hours when breakfast is being served. Many vagrants entering the hotel and eating for free. The girls should not be the ones checking on people. I saw about 12 people enter and eat that were NOT staying at the hotel

First time staying at this best western, transients hang out in the front and side of the location all day. They had old Refrigerators sitting outside taking up limited parking. Parking lot was flooded so you step in 4” of water when getting out of your vehicle. Now the room; sticky stuff on the floor, mold in the top coroner of the shower where condensation build up happens and they don’t wipe, sticky stuff on the office desk, the window ac unit has tons of dirt piled in the vents and isn’t cooling to temperature because the coils are neglected, long hairs attached to clean towels, dog hair (no pet aloud room) still on the ground. Tile missing grout in the restroom…this was room 102 on the first floor. In the Concierge room someone brought in leaking liquids and it’s all on the ground visible and sticky (this was the 2nd impression) I spent most of the night cleaning and sanitizing because I had two young kids with me. I do not recommend this hotel at this cost. It’s better then most hotels in the city of hemet but their service standards are not up to par and neither is the housekeepers. We skipped on the free breakfast due to negligence in room-can only assume what kitchen looks like.

The hotel is relatively new, the location is also good, very close to friends, usually take a walk, the hotel has parking, swimming pool, etc., it seems that this choice is good

This has been my go to hotel for several years now while visiting my family in Yucaipa. After many happy visits there my last visit was unacceptable in every way. I had to make a trip to help with a family health issue. First, I made my 3 day reservation two weeks in advance online through IHG like normal. The price was nearly 3 times what it had been a year earlier. Two days later I needed to add one more day. The person I talked to from the IHG website said that I couldn't make a change to the reservation because it had been more than 24 hours past the ”cancellation date” and I would end up having to pay for the entire stay if I cancelled that reservation and made a new one with 4 days. He said he had no ability to simply add one more day to my existing reservation. This is still nearly two weeks out. I asked them how we can solve the issue... to simply add one more day. The answer after 45 minutes on the phone with them: Make a new reservation for one day. Fine. The day I arrived I wanted to make it clear that I wanted to not change rooms after the 3rd day and they agreed. I had minor issues with the keys not working on 2 of the 3 days but that's happened before. No biggie. The breakfast they offered was a joke all 4 days. I finally had to take photos the final day. I understand not having hot food due to covid but the mini fridge literally had a few yogurt cups, uncrustables and bean burritos (not a breakfast choice typically but okay) bagels and milk. The buffet had a few oatmeal packets, the cereal was well stocked and there were green oranges, a green banana and ketchup and hot sauce packets. Juice and coffee was well stocked. When I had to ”check out” after the 3rd night I went to the front desk to do that. We closed out the first reservation and they asked for my credit card to pay for the final day. Card was declined because they had 3 pending charges from the hotel for a total of nearly $1600 (3 days were supposed to be at $750ish) and that amount was encumbered against my credit line. I showed those charges to the staff. ”Sorry, that's out of our control” They wanted to charge my card for the 3rd night for another $155 which took the encumbered amount over $1700. I literally had to make a payment to my credit card in order to book my room for that third night. Once that was resolved I was greeted with.. ”I hope I can keep you in the same room”. 10 minutes later it finally happened. I complained to IHG corporate ( a person titled: (name witheld: eMedia Coordinator) after the trip about what happened and would want some sort of compensation from the unacceptable situation. I received a return email stating they were sorry but couldn't do anything and they referred me back to the hotel management. The hotel management called and said they were sorry but it was IHG's issue because they did the reservation but here's our ”standard $50 credit toward my next stay”. Those were exact words. Our A/C at home went out during the latest heat wave in So Cal the week of August 19. I am a Choice privileges member and booked the room for two night stay for, one, to get points, and two, the only Comfort Inn in my local. We had a two queen bed room, sofa bed, and there was a fold up cot in the room also. The room was larger than the normal two bed room at the hotel, it is actually a room and a half. There is a frig., microwave, iron & board, coffee maker, wet bar, two tables, and an LG HD television. Bath room is rather small. The large open area between the wall with the frig. and the wall the beds are on, is very wide, excellent space for kids to play or set up the rolling cot that was in the room. Drawbacks; the queen mattresses were uncomfortable, the wall mounted A/C unit is too close to the foot of the bed closest to one of the three windows in the room. Not only did my feet get cold, but, there is not enough space to walk between the two. I found myself sliding to the foot of the bed to get off of it. Finally, the A/C was cold and maintained this cooling throughout the room. Also, this hotel had excellent precautions in place to defend against exposure of the guests to COVID.
