Skarsnuten Mountain Resort & Spa

Lovely clean hotel. Very nice food. Customer service at reception upon arrival was not brilliant - maybe some better staff induction would be helpful. Ended up having to pay twice for parking as we weren’t told about the parking garage underneath with charging points until a new staff member in the morning. Otherwise a lovely stay. The spa and pool facilities are additional cost too which we didn’t realise was the norm for Norway!

Had a bad experience the day I was checking out I didn’t really like cos I was supposed to be told about my room being changed n I had to pay extra money but I was not told n I got charged extra money cos the told me when I was about to check oh u have to pay which was really bad

Nice hotel with fantastic view over the valley. The staff were very polite and helpful answering most our questions about parking, skiing storage and so on. We had dinner at the hotel twice and had also booked two spa appointments from home. The dinner were decent and okay, however the menu selection was a little poor. Drinks and wine selection were good. The service in the restaurant was very good and the staff smiling and service minded. The spa facilities were nice and after a long day of skiing it was great to relax in the tubs, saunas and lounges. The spa staff were very attending and it was clean. On our second day the cleaning of our room were quite poor. However all in all we had a great time here.

Chaotic parking without charging options! There are 14 charging points, there should be a possibility to charge. However, those who had a parking space with charging were parked in the same space Friday - Sunday. Staff were not interested in helping to find a solution. Amateurish of the hotel.

Nice hotel and spa - but service was not at all up to standard and we experienced several errors, not knowing basic stuff, being locked out of ski-depot and billing errors for services.

Great location. View is magnificent. Room with view of the Hemsedal valley. Dinner was decent, breakfast average. Service was poor. They had forgotten our dinner reservation. Lucky, they had room for us to eat in the bar. No bottle opener for beverage in the room. When I called the reception (after 10 minutes of waiting for the reception to answer), they offered to open the bottle if I brought it to the reception! The receptionist said the bottle openers were popular so someone had probably stolen it. One of the receptionists were sitting by his computer, not taking care of the line of people waiting to check-in. Spa area was not clean, but the showers in spa area were clean, and receptionist at spa was accommodating and polite.

We were very surprised by how welcoming the staff were toward our child. It was wonderful to be greeted with big smiles and kindness toward us as a somewhat noisy family.

Perfect ski in/out, staff was awesome and great spa.
