I stay at a lot of Hilton Hotels. It is usually my first choice when staying out of town because you basically know what you are getting and usually they are consistent. This hotel is so far from what it once use to be. I don't usually expect super top notch luxury but this was once a Ritz. I would suggest not to bother staying here. The entire place is so run down. There is no upkeeping of this place. Lights are out all over, the floor is torn in many places, several thresholds were taped down cause I assume they don't want you to trip and fall and everything looks like it has been run down by a stampede of buffalo. The air-conditioning doesn't work. It was actually cooler in the hallways then it was in our room. Funny enough I know I wasn't the only one with an AC issues. I over heard people at breakfast complaining about the same thing. When we walked into the room we were hit with a horrible sewer smell and so I called the front desk and they said they would sent housekeeping over to fix the issue. I called back and just asked to be put in a different room. There was no way housekeeping would be able to fix this smell. They put me on hold and a few moments later they said yes we got you another room just go to the front desk. The new room was like going to a basement but at least it didn't smell. But the air didn't work or at least you didn't feel it. The fan blower was not working. I cant say the staff was bad they just didn't have any emotion or just seemed indifferent. You do get lost trying to find your way around the first day. The main lobby is on 3 which throws everyone off. The restaurant on the property was not the best at service or quality. The waiter forgot that I ordered a plated meal not a buffet breakfast. When he came over to ask how everything was I said I don't know I haven't gotten my food yet and the look of shock on his face was almost priceless. I finally got my breakfast but well after my husband finished his food. The food was very disappointing. There are some nice options over in the village. That was the one saving grace during our stay and really the only thing I could say that was good about the hotel, was the location to the village. The pool area was ok but the pool itself had a lot of debris and bugs floating in it. Lake Las Vegas is a great little gem but I would look at renting a VRBO or condo at one f the places just around the village rather then staying at this Hilton. I do urge you to check out the village and the restaurants down there. There wasn't a bad place and everyone was extremely friendly.
