Microtel Inn by Wyndham Henrietta/Rochester

We cam for a university visit with my child. The entire place reeked of pot. The staff barely talked. We kept an open mind and went to check the room. The room was dirty. Bed was not changed and stained. Trash on the floor and trash in the tub and paraphernalia. I went task staff to refund us and told us no way. The refused to refund for the 3 nights we had purchased.

This hotel was not very good. There was a hole in the wall by the bed, and behind the door. The bathroom was not in the greatest of shape. The mattress had was so worn out on one side it had a dip. The pillows were worn out. For a hotel, the mattress and the pillows should be better than what we had. I will say though that the sheets on the bed appeared clean. There was no refrigerator in the room. I asked where the ice maker was and was told that it didn't work. The continental breakfast was a joke. They had a juice machine that I was also told didn't work. It only had water. Overall, I was quite disappointed in this hotel. I don't ever write reviews, but for this one, I had to. If anyone is reading this, don't book this hotel! Go elsewhere if you can.

Upon getting into the room, we took 1 look and head for the hills! Disgusting!

The bathroom, beds, walls, actually everything was dirty. There was a smell. And there was a leftover sub, blue cheese and half consumed rootbeer left in fridge. All together a bad experience and this place shoukd not be recommended.

I made the mistake of boking this hotel for my son to attend RIT for a fair. Unfortunately, all of the hotels close to school were mostly booked or incredibly expensive. First thing he told me, was the smell at the entrance. My son said it was indescribable (bad). Room was old, outdated and dingy. Needless to say, I will not be booking this hotel again.

Employees were very nice and helpful. Property itself was run down, but a good price. Out of some breakfast food at 6:00am and no bowls. Otherwise, got a good nights sleep so can’t complain
