Red Roof Inn & Suites Herkimer

Check-in was very easy. Staff was extremely friendly. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

We needed to stay in the area and the room was very nice for the price.

I stay at the Red Roof Inn whenever in the Herkimer area as great place to stay, especially when travelling on business. The front desk staff is very accommodating and friendly. Love staying in one of the rooms in the back as very quiet, amenities are perfect for one night stays too

This motel was clean but tired. The staff were pleasant. We stayed in the Superior King room which is above the lobby so was slightly warmer and quieter than other outdoor rooms. Unknown to me when booking, the motel is beside the railroad tracks and the sound of trains rumbling past every couple of minutes could be heard. As we are sound sleepers we did not hear them overnight but others might not be so lucky. The bed base was metal (unusual) and the mattress was about 6 inches smaller than the base. The room had only a shower and the shower curtain fluttered while having a shower so the entire bathroom ended up wet. Sliding shower doors might be a better option. The breakfast had a small selection of foods.

The staff and area is great and our first stay was 5 stars. But our second stay was a 3 star since the room was not clean at all. The floor was sticky, we found 3 beer bottle caps and the towels weren't clean. So, I wouldn't recommend this place since the rooms cleanliness was average.

Had an appoint in Herkimer for Monday morning and my power had been out going on the 2nd night on Sunday due to the storm. Decided to just go to Herkimer on Sunday night instead of being home freezing in the dark. The minute I got to the Red Roof Inn, Lynn recognized me and was so welcoming. I checked in with Chris D and as usual it was great seeing him! Always comforting, friendly and concerned about the situation that brought me there. My pup and I got in the room, happy to have heat and electricity since I didn't at home; plus comfort. In the morning when I went to get their breakfast I was welcomed with a smile from Paul. Who came into the breakfast area to give me some treats for my pup. Three friendly faces that I'm always happy to see and I booked my room that same day! Kudos to RRI for having such a great group of people to welcome you in!

The room was beautiful and clean and very comfortable and pleasant. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent, lots of options, and the coffee was hot and strong enough! I can’t think of a single negative! Loved it!
