A solo getaway for a mom who lived in the area in my prior life and this was the perfect hotel stay. The front desk staff, Donovan, was the sweetest. The hotel is walking distance to the beach, Starbucks, El Pollo Inka, and all the eateries on Pier Ave. my friends had an easy time getting me and dropping me off. The hotel was clean and quiet.

Even though I had two window views, they were both the sides of other bldgs. Other than that the room was nice and clean.

My family and I spent one night at the Hampton Inn and Suites Hermosa Beach. We booked two rooms. We were going on a cruise the next day and decided to stay here to hang out in Hermosa which is always a good time. I can't say enough about the excellent customer service we encountered. The front desk staff and breakfast staff were so sweet and helpful. We only had one slight problem in our room. The toilet stopped working in our room that night so we had to go downstairs to the lobby to use the restroom. Maintenance was not on duty that night so there was nothing that could be done. The front desk staff was so apologetic. That was the only hiccup during our stay. My family and I will most definitely return to this hotel in the future.

I tagged along on a work trip with my daughter and we stayed at this location for eight nights. We really enjoyed our stay and had an overall great experience! The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, the housekeeping staff was also super friendly and kept us stocked with towels and toiletries. The breakfast was nice and varied day to day. We left something behind in our room and housekeeping recovered it and the staff was kind enough to arrange to mail it back to us. The location has a lot of conveniences within walking distance and it's a nice walk to the beach too! We got a room with a balcony - which was totally worth it. It was nice to sit out and get some fresh air and watch the sunset. There was some minor road noise, mainly during rush hour, but it wasn't bad at all once rush hour was over. I can't say enough about how nice everyone on the staff was, they really made a positive impact on our stay!

Great location and staff but the property is old. The carpets look like they need a very good shampooing and the hotel smells like cigarette smoke. The room was clean and comfortable. The service good!
