Beach House Hotel at Hermosa Beach

It was good-except room requested was pretty far from ocean view-probably last row! Valet was great, breakfast was ok, coffee was great, fruit was great! House cleaning was really late our first day, early next day…little unpredictable. Rooms are so cute! With storm coming in, fireplace was great!

We were coming to LA for the Bruce Springsteen concert and opted to stay at the Beach House for 2 nights, before heading up to Yosemite and Sequoia National Parks. We loved our stay at the Beach House... so much that at the end of our trip we decided to cut our trip short (1 night) at Sequoia to come back to the Beach House, and then decided to extend our trip one night more to enjoy the beach area. There is so much to watch at the beach, great areas to walk in (one of the days we walked 9 miles), great restaurants, bars, and shopping. We loved the hotel (got a beachfront room); it was nice having the sitting room, as well as the kitchenette. Great property and will stay here again when we come back to this area!

We stayed a perfect three nights at the Beach House Hotel in Hermosa Beach -- having traveled multiple times to Southern California, we can confidently say that we have a new favorite! Our third floor oceanfront room had the perfect location for relaxing, listening to the ocean, and watching everything from dolphins to sunsets. It was impeccably clean, quiet, comfortable, and our ideal homebase for one of the most walkable towns we've been to. The front desk staff was exceptional -- Iris and Davisha were kind, accommodating, friendly, and helped us make sure everything we needed was taken care of. We were so impressed with the valet team -- Jaime provided everything from restaurant suggestions to tips on our road trips. We are already looking forward to returning to this "can't miss" hotel.

Love this place. Perfect location, you are right on the beach, on the Strand. Steps away from all the restaurants and shopping of Hermosa beach. Small details make this feel like a luxury hotel. Nice big rooms with kitchenette and fireplace, patio. Breakfast in the morning is very good and sits right on the beach. I’ve stayed here for business and with family. Will be back many times I hope.

I was very glad I'd chosen this hotel. I spent one night there after landing in LA and before heading up the coast, and then another three nights a few days later. Although the hotel is about half an hour from the friend I was visiting in LA, the drive was worth it. Hermosa Beach is a lovely beach town. The hotel was delightful. There was a slight mix-up when I first arrived - I thought I had booked a room on the second or third floor, but was at first given a ground-floor room (apparently the person I spoke with on the phone was a little confused regarding the room categories). However, this was rapidly resolved and I had an upper floor room on both stays. I chose to be in the rear building, on the side that looks out on a park and the ocean (to the left). The rooms were both really nice and very comfortable over all. There is a small "kitchenette" consisting of a two-burner electric cooktop (no pots, but a kettle), a decent sized fridge (no freezer) and a microwave. Plenty of cups, glasses, plates, and silverware. One important point is that, if your plane lands pretty late, the only restaurant open at all late (till about 10 PM) is Simmzy's in Manhattan Beach. I was very glad that I had researched this myself ahead of time. The room was lovely and the setting (with the beach basically right outside) absolutely wonderful. Breakfast was decent (I liked that it is available until 10:30 AM, but it is more plentilful in choices earlier on). The desk people were largely quite helpful (I was glad they had a phone charging cord for sale) and the valet parking people were great. I will most likely stay here again when going to LA, as it is a really nice place to be.

This was a nice comfortable and clean stay with and very close to the beach! The only thing that I was disappointed in was my "ocean view" room was only that if you walked out onto the balcony and looked to the left. I am not sure if that is an ******* issue or hotel one but that did not please me. All in all though a great stay!
