Location is good not far from the airport, although you do need to call ahead for a shuttle. Also not far from the metro-rail, 5 min walk from the hotel. The Smithsonian air and space museum is 10 mins away - something definitely worth visiting. Hotel itself was ok. We had 2 rooms booked that were interconnected, for the children. One of the rooms aircon was very loud and we could not turn it off. We were told by the reception staff that no maintenance staff were available on Sunday . We managed to find the main off switch and resolved the issue ourselves. Not long after, the toilet became blocked. Again same answer from reception. They offered another set of rooms for us. Unfortunately one of the rooms had been smoked in and really stank, which was unacceptable. Also the reception staff neglected to mention this issue (they must have known). So, we asked if they had a plunger. Finally the reception staff found something and just came to the room and handed us the plunger. Again we resolved the issue ourselves. Reception staff could have been a little more welcoming, they always seemed quite miserable, like they were made to work there. Breakfast was ok, no buffet and quite pricey. Unfortunately there aren’t any alternatives nearby. Dinner menu also ok, nothing special. Overall, satisfactory stay, but will not be returning if possible
