This stay at inatori got to be one of the best decisions made. The room came with an absolutely stunning sea view which made this trip from the bustling city worth it!! You need to add the breakfast and dinner to your package too because the food served are top quality and so so delicious. We ate till we were stuffed every single night!! There’s no other hotel that come close to this amazing experience we had here. We also enjoyed the private onsen which can be booked by paying +$$
As the place is very much catered to local tourists, most of the menu, instructions are in Japanese, so just use your translator app if you have any questions! They do have staff who can speak English / mandarin!

Hotel 👍
The dinner was absolutely delicious! Make sure to add dinner when you book.
The scenery was beautiful, even though it rained both days we were there.
The staff were all so lovely and gentle 🥰🥰, it made us feel so happy.
The alfonsino was really tasty, it's a local specialty.
I actually really enjoyed sleeping on the tatami, and the sound of the ocean waves outside was very soothing.
The view from the room was amazing, and the bath was fantastic too. The staff were all very kind and had lovely smiles.

An established hotel with attentive and enthusiastic staff. They confirmed details via email in advance, provided clear check-in instructions, and repeatedly verified our dining times and dietary restrictions. The service was excellent.

The room was very clean and had large windows. It's close to the sea, and sitting by the window was a pleasant experience.
Overall the location was great and there was a direct sea view from most of the rooms and the onsen. Some of the facilities are slightly dated. Whilst it is very costly, i do feel overall that stay was still within expectations. The biggest disappointment for me was the dinner where the steam fish served was not as fresh. Despite the feedback provided to the hotel, they could not do any service recovery and simply kept repeating that they could not do anything. This goes against the great Japanese service I have always encountered everywhere I go in Japan
The room boasts a superb location with a 180-degree panoramic view. The open-air bath at sunset was absolutely fantastic!
The meals were served with meticulous care, like a kaiseki course, allowing us to slowly savor the seafood.
Breakfast featured fresh and carefully prepared dishes. The spiny lobster miso soup was especially delicious.
With a 12 PM checkout, we were able to enjoy a luxurious and relaxing time in our room, listening to the sound of the waves and gazing at the sea.
The staff were all very kind. There were no foreigners who spoke broken Japanese, making for a very comfortable and reassuring experience.
I chose this hotel instead of the neighboring Ginshuisou because it was slightly more expensive for the same dates, and it was much better than expected.
The hotel service was excellent overall, from the shuttle bus to the hotel itself – standard Japanese service. The only slight drawback was that I didn't encounter any staff members fluent in English; we mostly communicated using translators.
I emailed the hotel reception to reserve a table at Toranoana yakiniku (grilled meat) next door, and received a reply about a day later that the reservation was confirmed. Very efficient, thank you so much! For a late-night snack, I got some fried rice from a nearby Itoshima-ya restaurant. The rice was perfectly cooked, and my friends and I raved about it! The fried tofu was also delicious!
The open-air ocean-view onsen, Sora, had a stunning view. After soaking, enjoying the complimentary tea and snacks and buying milk from the vending machine was incredibly relaxing – the milk was absolutely delicious! There's a convenience store just 100 meters from the hotel, which was very convenient.
The room view was also fantastic; I slept soundly to the sound of the waves. The facilities showed signs of aging and use (minor damage), but overall, it didn't feel drab and was acceptable. Furthermore, neither my friend's nor my room smelled musty, indicating that they were well-maintained.
We were given a corner room, but it was surprisingly larger than expected. The view was great. The hotel itself is a bit old, but the location is excellent. The private hot spring is worth experiencing, and the hot spring itself is very nice.
The room is ok, the location is ok, there are many delicious restaurants nearby, and I especially recommend the fried rice with egg at the nearby Itoshima-ya, which is perfect. However, the service of the hotel itself is very average. None of the 6 inquiry emails I sent received a reply, and the person on the other end of the phone couldn't speak English and couldn't communicate. For house cleaning, you even need to go out and make an appointment with the front desk every day. The cleaning time that the front desk confirmed with us when you checked in was not shown at all, and we had to find the cleaning lady on our own initiative. We looked around the house and found only one plug for charging. Fortunately, we brought our own socket, otherwise we wouldn't be able to charge even a basic amount of electricity. The hot springs are also average, the pool is not big, and there are not many types. In short, Izu is great and I will come again, even if it is just for the fried eggs, but I will never book this hotel again. I believe there will be better choices.
The room was clean and spacious, with a breathtaking ocean view. You could fall asleep to the sound of the waves. There was a convenience store across the street, making shopping very convenient. Remember to book the private hot spring at check-in, otherwise you might not be able to get a reservation. Dinner was good, but breakfast was average.
The ocean view was stunning, and the breakfast was a bit better than expected—a buffet with local flavors. It might be a bit far from a convenience store, but it's within walking distance. We rented yukata, and the lady who made the bed patiently tied a beautiful two-tone bow for each of us! Overall, it was a great stay.

We encountered the Japanese tsunami during our trip. As the Izu Kyuko Line was completely suspended, the hotel sent all of our guests who were checking out today to Mishima Station. Now we are on the Shinkansen to Osaka. I really like the emergency plan and will stay here again next time!
