Overlook Lodge and Stone Cottages at Bear Mountain Reviews

Site is located just off of a traffic circle, this makes finding the site a little confusing. The room was 1 of 6 mini suites housed in one cabin with a fire place tables and chairs in common areas. We had no temperature control so we opened a window to combat the heat. Overall, it was a cozy spot for a weekend stay.

The room is small, the bathroom is even smaller, and the bathtub is difficult to drain, basically blocked. The good thing is that charcoal is provided, and you can light a fireplace in the living room, which is quite atmospheric. In the villa, the sound insulation effect of several rooms is average, and the sound of the neighbor opening the door penetrates the room... The stone house is quite unique, the nearby lake is very beautiful, and the feeling of being in the forest, the air is very good. Maybe it will be better to come here in summer.

Good access to climbing Bear Mountain and BBQ in the park!

I wanted to stay at the main lodge, but sent to other lodge, big inconvenience food, just everything. Room was ok , could not relax on Sat. Evening music way to loud I guess in the club right under me, shower never had hot water. Just

Very quiet hideout. If you want to have a rest from city crowd, rush, noise.. that’s the best place for you.

My boyfriend and I went here for the weekend in February and it was a calm and peaceful stay! The bed was comfy and the room was warm and felt updated and clean. I would definitely recommend!

We didn’t stay at the end. We stayed at the lodge. We were in the echo Lodge rooms cute common area had a fireplace, which was nice. Rooms were clean. The problem was we can hear everything from every single room. I heard the TV from the people staying next to us until 2 AM and then we heard them snoring that’s how then the wolves are or through the vent it was bad. Will be staying here again maybe the inn would be better. The grounds are beautiful and then restaurant was delicious.

Actually the staff was great but the management needs to have 2 workers at the front desk. The maintenance man left and the front desk lady was fixing tv' for about 45mins to an hr. Other then that it was great.

It was a nice gateway for me and my husband nice and quiet a hour away from NYC we took the coach bus and the food was good but we ordered a lot from door dash other then that we had a good time the scenery was beautiful and we went to the zoo and gift shop the pool was close at this time we would diff visit again if you want a quiet vacation go here it’s worth it

The heating wasn't working properly at the Beaver Cottage. The common area too small. But, the view of lake was nice.

I like the tranquility, very clean and what I don't like is that I spend two days with cold at night in the room

Lots of natural beauty in the area. Downside is that the cottage rooms are a trek from the main inn if you don’t have a car.

We found this place by accident but we will definitely be staying here again. Beautiful view and the food was fantastic.

Someone telling me that my partner and I were talking too loud on a Saturday night. Dont stay here if you talk loud.
