GGuest UserThe room was spotless and tidy, facing the ocean. The hotel also has its own private beach. If you're unsure what to eat for dinner, I highly recommend trying the hotel restaurant. We ordered the tuna and black tiger prawns for our main courses, and both were absolutely delicious. The best part is the dining experience right by the sea – it really gives you that holiday vibe. The staff were also very nice. Breakfast is an à la carte buffet, with a great selection of fruits, coconut, juices, and more. If you're visiting Galle with family, I highly recommend this place!

TtorinessThis is the best place we stayed in during our Sri Lanka trip. The villa only has two guest rooms so it is so quiet and you are sharing the beautiful pool with only 2 other people at the most. The room is perfect, so luxurious, with views out over the lagoon. The food at the restaurant is divine. The villa is a lovely and leisurely hour walk up the beach or quick cheap tuk tuk ride to the main drag of Hikkaduwa. Highly recommend!!!! We will be back.

RRyker97GThe place is just okay most of the staff were friendly however there were few really pushy and makes me uncomfortable. You just got to tell them NO on a serious note for them to stop bothering you, apart from that everything was okay, the toilet have no ventilation so the smell spread through the room, unless you open the doors the smell won’t go. But for the price I pay, it wasn’t worth it

SShuimoshuanghuaThe hotel is located in the heart of Hikkaduwa, but the facilities are quite old. The air conditioning, dehumidifier, and fan were so noisy they gave me a headache. However, the beach environment and the several sea turtles near the shore made up for it! The outdoor area of the hotel had many squirrels and lizards, which the kids loved. Finally, the diving center's instructor was very professional and great. Unfortunately, the coral reef resources at this dive site are scarce, and the water visibility isn't great, so the underwater views were only average.

Tamara Motels is a family-run establishment located on Galle Road in Hikkaduwa, just a short walk from the beach. The location is convenient—close to shops and restaurants.
I loved the motel's design. I was surprised when the owner told me he built it himself!
The room was clean and spacious, with modern amenities, a huge balcony, a nice bathroom, and a terrace overlooking the railway and the jungle. I slept really peacefully there. Even the sound of the train passing by was soothing.
The family running the inn is incredibly kind and helpful.

Не советую заселяться в этот отель.
Фото отеля и комнат сделаны давно и не отражают его вида на данный момент.

PpeaglerThe room itself is adequate. The air-con was strong and the shower was good.
When I arrived, there was no one there. I opened the gate and walked in. I called the number to the property and the person who answered arrived shortly thereafter. He said no one was there because of the New Year holiday. He showed me to my room. I asked for one in the back, but he said he was having a party and that might be too much for me. After I got settled into a clean room in the front facing the traffic, there was no towel or soap.
Late at night after I was asleep, I was startled by someone who began banging on my door and turning the knob several times to get in. I yelled at that person and told him to stop. It did stop and afterward, I felt completely unsafe. I got up to put my heavy suitcase at the door to prevent the intruder from coming in.
The staff person had said to me that he was having a party, but then said it was cancelled. There were several men at the property when I returned in the evening. I'm not sure who the perpetrator was maybe it was one of them. There is no peep hole and the windows are frosted. I felt completely vulnerable. I didn't even think to call the staff person because I was frightened and sleepy. My advice is to be cautious if you stay here.

Excellent location, next to the hotel there is everything you need: beach, cafes, souvenir shops.
The staff was responsive and promptly resolved any issue I had.
The buffet and restaurant are excellent! The food is very tasty and varied.
The room is comfortable with working air conditioning, the sea view is stunning.
Overall, I was pleased with my stay and recommend it to everyone!

Housekeeping was provided at our request.
The bed was comfortable and large, with an ocean view and a balcony with light, chairs, and a table where you can relax listening to the ocean. The air conditioning worked perfectly. The sheets and towels were clean, bright and white, without any stains.
The entire staff was polite and always did their best to make our stay comfortable.
For a 2-star hotel right on the ocean, I think this is a fair price and can recommend it.
Please note that the description does not include a kettle, hairdryer, or mini fridge—and there won't be any. For those who need this, it's worth noting.
All issues that arose were resolved promptly. As an exception, we were provided with a kettle.
