Lovely little family hotel. We lived on the 3rd floor. The room has a refrigerator, kettle, hairdryer, air conditioning. The bed is comfortable. In the kitchen (ground floor), you can cook. You can rent a bike from the owners. From the terrace we saw chipmunks, peacocks, monkeys, and iguanas. 20 meters away is the Red Lobster restaurant, the food is very tasty! 100-150 meters to the sea. Lovely quiet bay. Turtle farm, big turtles are here. One minus is the railway; if you like silence, it will be difficult to sleep. We were tolerant of this. Sri Lanka gave a lot of emotions! I recommend the hotel!

If you are not afraid of “night express trains”, then this is an excellent guesthouse. Clean, quiet, friendly hosts. An instantaneous water heater will not give you a lot of hot water, the air conditioner works fine, and there is also a fan. I took a fumigator with me so that mosquitoes did not bother me. But keep in mind, this is still not 3-4*. More than good for your budget.

The hotel is definitely worthy. Clean, tasty, welcoming, cozy, has everything you need. I tuned in to the train right away, so it didn’t upset me. There are places to dry clothes outside. They provide umbrellas if needed. They can exchange currency and arrange to rent a Tuk Ruka. The hosts are welcoming and not intrusive. The location is convenient, close to beaches and restaurants. I recommend visiting.

I am currently living in this hotel, everything is clean and comfortable, fresh rooms, new plumbing, constant hot water, the staff is very attentive and friendly, good security, bars on the windows, cameras everywhere, a safe in the room. The air conditioning works great, plus there is also a fan. There is a place for drying clothes on site, and breakfast can be ordered. I didn't find any mosquitoes or other living creatures in the room. The location of the hotel is very good, it’s a 3-minute walk to the beach, there’s a cafe nearby, the only negative is the railway, which runs very close to the hotel, but personally it doesn’t bother me. If I come to Hikkaduwa again, I’ll definitely stay in this wonderful place.

I agree with the positive reviews. Very nice hotel owners. The room is clean, the bed linen is cotton (usually in such inexpensive motels I take my own linen with me, but it was not useful here). The bed is comfortable, wide, with a good mattress. There is a safe. We only needed a fan, no air conditioning. The TV was not turned on. Wi-Fi even loads videos. Both day and night, there were no particular problems. There was cleaning every three days. We had our own balcony. I often watched birds and animals running around on their own. There is greenery all around. On the third floor you can dry your clothes on a hanger outside and there is also a sofa for chilling. We gave the garbage in a bag to the owner because we didn’t understand where to take it out. And she didn’t explain it to us, she said she’d take it out on her own. Now they are adding a building and sometimes it was noisy, but it didn’t bother us too much. At first we shied away from the train, but then we got used to it. In fact, this is the optimal location option. The train runs every 2-3 hours, and if you live near the main road, then all types of transport buzz endlessly there. If you live further inland, it’s far from the beach. Everything is nearby - shops and cafes and attractions (Buddha temples, market, beach with turtles). There are cameras all around, everything is locked, there are bars on the windows (theft is common in Sri Lanka). The hotel was calm for the value.

We left a first aid kit in case anyone needs it. Cleaning at your request - it is important to leave the key at the reception for cleaning. Air conditioning costs 800 rupees per day, but a fan was enough for us. Breakfast for $ 5, we did not take, we ate in different cafes. The hotel owner always helped in resolving issues. Yes, there is a train, and it’s quite loud, our room looked directly onto the railway road, but for us, this is not a problem; by day 3 we’ve already gotten used to it. I liked it very much. A small homely hotel that turned our holiday into a wonderful one. We enjoyed wonderful dinners in the attic every evening. These are dinners with the aroma of nature and the warmth of the equator. An ideal option for people who are tired of Russian apar**ents and the cold. There is a railway nearby, but we didn’t notice it at all. There is a lot of greenery in the yard. There is a kitchen, but buy a frying pan at the Sunday market and you can pamper yourself with fish and seafood. The famous Red Lobster restaurant is nearby, but cooking it yourself is much tastier. The hotel is close to the fish and fruit markets, which is very convenient. The hosts are very nice and helped us return our lost suitcase. The hotel is very clean. The room has a refrigerator, a kettle, a place for cooking (without a stove), a kettle, air conditioning. The coolest rooms for relaxation are on the first floor.
