The camp is located in a remote area, surrounded by low hills and not far from a scenic pond. The owner is a cheerful and enthusiastic fellow; he seemingly tried his best to welcome us and make us feel at home. Unfortunately, shortly after our arrival he started drinking with some friends of his and got tipsy, to the point of going to bed early and forgetting to light the campfire he had promised to us (my daughter was very disappointed by the lack of smores on that evening...). The restrooms and showers are very clean and quite comfortable, given the fact that it's a camping after all.

There is nothing luxurious about Zion Glamping Adventures. These are tents with poor facilities and nothing more. We paid a tidy sum for the only tent with private bathroom facilities. That consisted of a dry flush toilet and a shower that trickled out a warm stream. No sink. No mirror. You couldn’t even close the door to the bathroom because the wooden door scraped on the wooden floor. A blow dryer for your hair? No way. The lighting around our site was almost non-existent at night – but there was a box of unplaced solar lights down by the kitchen area. The staff member who checked us in didn’t seem to know anything. He just kept making excuses about things that weren’t available and how the owner never seemed to replace or replenish anything. “Ice? No, sorry. We haven’t had an ice delivery for weeks. Knives to cut your food? Sorry. Last time they sent nothing but spoons. Only one light in the tent? Yeah, I don’t know why that one doesn’t work but I tried it for a while and it’s dead.” (It needed plugging in.) Our tent was miserable and cold at night despite the “heater/airconditioner” inside. There was a layer of dead insects on the boards that held the mattress. There were no proper supplies for anything. The BBQ grills were poorly maintained. There wasn’t a knife to be found anywhere. Cups? Plates? You might be able to scrounge up one or two somewhere. The kitchen facilities were dirty and there was just a hodgepodge of condiments to use and random utensils. They had lots of cast iron frying pans though. Everyone needs one of those. I have been glamping in Kenya, South Africa and Botswana. Trust me, this isn’t glamping. It’s not even fun camping. We left after one night – forgoing our second night at a cost of $500 - small price to pay to be comfortable and warm in a decent hotel. Never again.

We loved this place! Wish we would have stayed longer. The tents were warm and clean and the views were amazing. We will be staying here again. Our kids had a blast and enjoyed the s’mores at night and the morning pancakes. Such a fun and memorable getaway. Marcel was super nice and showed us the property and dinosaur tracks which made our kids whole trip. Also, super close to a great grocery store!

We had a wonderful experience with Zion Glamping Adventures! We stayed for one night in November. The tent had heat and plenty of space, and it was very cozy. We spent some time by the communal fire and enjoyed a s’more. The pancakes and coffee in the morning were an excellent touch. And we can’t forget Rocky, the glamping dog who is eager to play fetch and get a pet from the guests. Definitely recommend!

Our stay at Zion Glamping Adventures exceeded our expectations (4 days). It was a very authentic experience - the full feeling of camping in the mountains, but with excellent facilities: very comfortable beds in large tents with airconditioning/heating and very good shared, clean shower facilities with the backdrop of pure nature (imposing red mountains and expanses of desert) and a unique, local American small town vibe. The starry nights were breathtaking - I have never seen anything like the stars there. The perfect way to end the day after a strenuous hike (in Zion national park - 50 minutes away by car, or locally e.g. Water Canyon hike). However, what truly made it an incredible experience was the attentive touch of the local hosts who are committed to perfecting your experience. Kind, respectful and attentive people. The communal bonfires with complimentary s'mores added a very special touch and Marcel's morning pancakes were a delight. Compliments to Marcel for being such an excellent, engaging camp manager and to Steve for his calm, clear manner and helpful introductions and bonfires. We highly recommend the sunset wagon ride through the interesting town of Hildale and a lovely lake. We wish we could have stayed longer.
