Howzit Hostels Hawaii

It was so much fun chatting with friends from all over the world and exploring volcanoes and waterfalls together. The rooms were also quite nice, and I slept soundly every night. I would definitely consider coming back to the Big Island next time!

The hotel is located on a main street near restaurants and a night market, so parking is difficult in the evening, but easier after 8 pm. The room has a high vantage point where you can hear all the street noises. There were cockroaches in the bathroom, and more than one. I didn't use the kitchen, but it seemed well-equipped. Check-in was smooth, but the hotel sent out too many messages to guests; collecting so much information and taking so many photos is unusual in the US.

If you're looking to save money, I'd highly recommend staying here. The bathrooms and showers are great! There are separate areas for men and women, and the women's side is very clean, which is what I like most.

It's about a 10-minute taxi ride from the airport. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the place is very clean. It's a great value option for solo travelers visiting the Big Island.

The location is excellent, in the town center, with many restaurants and supermarkets nearby. It's convenient for visiting the volcano and close to the airport. Cleanliness, at least superficially, seems acceptable. Breakfast ends around 8:00 or 8:30, consisting of chocolate waffles and coffee… Is there a deposit for check-in? All credit card information was manually entered, which was a first for me and made me very uneasy afterwards. My security code was also specifically verified… I suggest checking if cash is available.

Very good youth hostel, stayed for 11 nights. No deposit required. Met friends from all over the world who came here to travel, and had a great time communicating. The hostel's kitchen is good, and I cooked many delicious dishes. I highly recommend it.
