Holiday Inn Express Hilton Head Island

We really enjoyed being so close to the beach. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The pool was relaxing and overall atmosphere was nice. Enjoyed being so close to many restaurants and coligny plaza

The only things giving it two stars are the super nice and helpful people working here and a clean pool. Otherwise, the place is a disaster area - massive construction with gaping holes in walls and no security to the building - you can just walk through the walls, so they don’t bother locking the doors. The hotel is nowhere near the lobby and breakfast area. Same Holiday Inn Express breakfast experience you would get in Akron. There is really no reason to stay here. I don’t mind discount travel, but there has to be some effort made by the management.

We got in pretty late and needed just one night. The rooms are located away from check in. We park in a literal construction zone which we ignore as we walked up. The building is literally falling apart, no real walls up in elevators. And again fine but at that rate, those rooms should just be closed off and not for customers to use. We settle in and get our kids to sleep as is it late. We go to lock the door and the door do not LOCK at all. When I say AT ALL, the latches don't even line up to go into one another to secure. We have a full video of us literally going into the room no key card or anything! And again we find this out close to midnight as our children are already asleep and it's freezing out. So we honestly just dealt with it for the night and used that pathetic top latch to make sure no one was able to break in. I can send the video for your reference but I suggest you let this hotel know that room 427 and likely all the rooms in this tower are unsafe. We were in a rush to get back home and had to leave otherwise I would have went and raised hell in the lobby. This was an absolute waste of money and I will also be leaving a full review on any other site to let others know to avoid this place at all costs. Also when we were trying to leave the construction parking, they were unloading concrete and there is only ONE way out of this area. So we sat there called lobby no answer. Employee on golf cart said to knock on trucks door to ask them to move....UNPROFESSIONAL

Nice other than construction during our stay.

Place is under construction but the room was dated and repairs completed in bathroom looked like a handyman completed very noticeable and tacky . Construction will wake you in the morning disclaimer isn’t given until you check in

Great stay very comfortable good breakfast and hours

The rooms were very clean. The hotel was being renovated but it didn’t really affect our stay. Nice outdoor pool. The breakfast which was included was good. The only detriment was you had to either walk or drive to the main check in building for breakfast or to go to the gym.

We loved the location of this hotel. We could easily walk to the beach, shops, and restaurants. The park that is nearby was wonderful. Our room was comfortable and clean. We adored how it was decorated. We can't wait to come back.
