4 of us ate in the bar although we were offered space in the restaurant. Pretty busy evening. Great service from Lydia and Bea in particular. We’re local and previously it wasn’t so welcoming but seems to have changed. Very good quality food and service good too. We’ll be back!

This was one of the hotels on the wedding invitation we received and I am so glad we choose this hotel. The staff cannot do enough for you and the restaurant is amazing. Breakfast in the morning was full of wonder choices and if not in the menu they were happy to accommodate with what you wanted. Highly highly recommend this hotel.

We happily spent 3 nights at The Hollies. It was quiet, clean, comfortable, helpful, friendly and value for money. Breakfast and dinner were good, wifi and parking free. Unfortunately we couldn’t enjoy the appealing outdoor space because of the wintry June weather. The location is remote, so a car is essential.

Booked a night away in a junior suite, arrived and shown to room, first impressions were very good, modern kitchenette with mini bar, good selection of drinks , bedroom, lounge area, all looked great, bathroom! Well that was a huge disappointment, the bath looked filthy on further inspection you could see that the enamel was flaking off and the non slip stickers were grubby and peeling, maybe doable if you were showering but I like a bath and that was not acceptable. The receptionist was lovely(I didn’t get her name) she showed us 5 other rooms all had the same issues in the baths. Eventually looked at a standard double room which was very nice and a decent standard, much more modern bathroom. water pressure not great when Hubby used the shower. Have to say the food was absolutely wonderful a very good standard, quick service, lovely staff. Don’t think we would stay again but would use the restaurant again for sure

Non-stop excellence from start of our stay to the end. The hotel is close to the A303 and yet gets no detectable noise from it, being deep inside a small picturesque village. Comfort and cleanliness of the room was first rate. Food is varied and very well presented. All staff from Reception to restaurant to the housekeeping team are skilled at look after their guests. Recommended. And we're going there again very shortly. (Tip: bring stout boots if venturing across the fields to reach nearby sites, which are plentiful: - paths can be muddy!)

I stayed here with two friends and found this hotel wonderful on so many levels. Every member of staff was charming, helpful and appeared to enjoy whatever job they were doing. The rooms were quiet, well sized and with everything you could require. The prices in the room mini-bar were the same as the main bar, well done, that is most unusual. The restaurant had a very comprehensive menu and the items we had were excellent. We shall certainly be returning.

Check-in was quick and friendly. We were told everything we needed to know. The only thing I didn't like was the flooring! It would've felt nicer carpeted, but that's personal choice. We ate in the restaurant which was amazing! Perfectly cooked steak, and the staff were friendly and efficient.
