Indochine Ben Thanh Hotel & Apartments

It shocked me since the room was pretty large as we are from HK it was a whole new world for us and the receptionists were very hard working even staying up all night. The place was very close to Ben Tanh Market and about opposite was a Indian restaurant and a tour booking shop

I hate to give this hotel a bad review as it is a good hotel and with a prefect location, but when i arrived i asked the for a quiet room as i sleep very late everyday and they assured me that the room 301 was very quiet. Far from it as the very next day at 6:30 in the morning and almost for two weeks the noise from above was unbearable. I report the noise many times but since they had construction going on and they could not stop. The front desk girls and the guys at night were extremely friendly and understanding, they tried so hard to make my stay pleasant, but to no avail. I also found 10, correct 10 big cockroaches in my room. Beside that, the room was pretty big with a small kitchenette. Nice firm bed with good pillows.

This hotel puts you in the center of activity. Short walk to famous Ben Thanh Market. on the same blocks there are several stores selling from shoes, to backpacks, to jackets. You might not need to step inside Ben Thanh Market if you don't. The room is sound proof because even on New Year's Eve with all the scooters that pulled up across the street and parked I did not hear anything. So it's very quiet. The city view that is mentioned I never experienced because I was on the first floor and all I could see are retail stores and a jewelry store across the street. BTW you can exchange currency at the jewelry store. You get a great rate. I exchanged a $100 bill there. My Vietnamese friend told me they will change it for me. So no need to go to a money exchange down the block to stand on line. The hotel website mentioned a private entrance to my room. I only had access to my room through the hotel lobby then up the elevator. You get the impression this is a spacious building yet it's not. I thought maybe I could see fireworks from my window but that was only a pipedream. There is no breakfast served but there are several places in the area where you can eat breakfast. One is Nick's Cafe, an American style cafe with 1950s music playing. If it's your first time there the staff will walk you through the menu. It's about 8-minute walk to the cafe. About the one positive the young staff working at the desk was nice to speak to. Other than that the city view and private entrance mentioned never materialized. I think the hotel should just state the facts without exaggerating details.

Check in last minute during night , had a standard room which is very comfortable . Bed pillow comfortable. Room is clean. Love the smart tivi. Affordable rate 5xx K vnd . Walking distance to market and food around. Will back to stay such a lovely hotel

We booked accommodation in May 2022 for travel in december 2022. Only in November (1 month before our travel) does Indochine Ben Thanh Hotel & Apartments let me know that our room will have no windows. Had I known this earlier I would have found other accommodation. I am now having to rebook at an alternative accommodation at 3X the price. THEY MUST STATE ON THEIR ADVERTS THAT THE ROOMS THEY ARE OFFERING HAVE NO WINDOWS! How are you advertising Windowless Superior Queen rooms and not stating that to potential guests?
