Because I suddenly encountered a thunderstorm when I left Chicago, I temporarily booked this hotel. The location is very good. It is right next to Highway 65. You certainly don’t expect a five star hotel when you stay at a Comfort Inn, but I’m giving it five stars. Here’s why: The rooms are a decent size, the beds and pillows are plush and comfy, the shower was amazing, and the front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. While parts of the hotel show its age, the room and hallways are very clean. And all this for well under $100 earns it a five star rating for being much more than we expected.

I went to check in a half hour after check in time and my room wasn't ready so I had to wait a bit to get a room. I requested a disability accessible room and got one on the third floor. The heating/cooling unit in our room didn't work right so we ended up either super hot or freezing there was no in between. The staff was absolutely amazing though. They were kind and helpful.
