Radisson Safari Hotel Hoedspruit

This hotel exceeded all our expectations in terms of quality, luxury and service. The hotel is a short drive from the local airport and is perfect for safari. We used it as a base to visit different sections of KNP. We really enjoyed the stay and would love to come back. The facilities at the hotel are excellent and very comfortable. Highly recommended.

Beautiful designed hotel with excellent service and food

Our stay at Radisson Safari Hotel Hoedspruit was seriously disrupted on our final night, when we were supposed to rest before travel after several days of very early safari wake-ups. At around 3:00 AM, the fire alarm went off suddenly and caused extreme distress and confusion. We had no idea whether there was a real emergency. When we called reception, we were told they were “turning it off,” but no clear explanation was provided. The alarm continued for more than 10 minutes, completely ruining our sleep. As if that was not bad enough, the same thing happened again at around 4:30 AM. This is completely unacceptable for a hotel where guests come to rest. A fire alarm is a serious safety issue, and if it is triggered accidentally, guests deserve immediate communication, explanation, and accountability. Our final night of sleep was ruined, and the hotel failed to handle the situation professionally. I expect Radisson Safari Hotel Hoedspruit to take responsibility and offer appropriate compensation or a refund for the night.

We stayed for a weekend and I appreciated the cleanliness of the reception area but this location did not meet expectations. The room, spa and restaurants were not on par with other Radisson experiences. The location is ideal but poor service and equipment failures led to a less-than-ideal stay.

Apart from excellent location and rooms the hotel has all facilities you need. Both restaurants are great, Mirage Restaurant being the bigger restaurant has an extensive menu and even more extensive winelist. Pegasus, the smaller and more intimate restaurant offers great Mediterean food and signature cocktails.
