IntercityHotel Hohhot Xinhua Square

Hohhot Xinhua Square Intercity Hotel was a fantastic experience! The location is superb, close to the subway and train station, making travel incredibly convenient. The room was spacious and clean, with exquisite decor and comfortable bedding. It was also fully equipped with smart amenities. The service was warm and efficient, with the front desk responding quickly and the housekeeping being meticulous. The breakfast was particularly amazing, featuring authentic and delicious Mongolian specialties like 'Yang Zashui' (offal soup) and mutton 'Shaomai' (dumplings), with a rich variety of options. It offers great value for money, perfect for both business and leisure travel. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit!

Great location, very close to Hohhot Station and super convenient for getting around. The parking lot has plenty of spaces and it's free. The service is also excellent and incredibly thoughtful. They prepared a welcome gift for check-in and even gave us small presents like fridge magnets when we left. The staff were all very friendly. They knew we were going out and thoughtfully reminded us to stay hydrated, even giving us a few bottles of water. Honestly, it's better service than some five-star hotels! You *must* try the lamb offal soup for breakfast – it has so much tripe. Those who've had lamb offal soup elsewhere will understand just how good it is 😉

This hotel opened last year, and I was lucky enough to get a complimentary upgrade to what seemed like an executive corner room – it was incredibly spacious! The breakfast was truly excellent, though the 'shou ba rou' (hand-pulled lamb) wasn't available every day; I only saw it once during my three-day stay. On other days, there were different meat dishes, but the lamb offal soup was consistently available and delicious. They also have a coffee machine with ice and syrup for DIY drinks. Every staff member was very welcoming, and the hotel's location is super convenient, close to everything.

I enjoyed my stay so much, I extended it for another night! The facilities are super new, and the room is incredibly spacious. They've paid attention to every detail, with a De'Longhi kettle and a Laifen hairdryer, plus a thoughtful humidifier. The service experience was excellent! The front desk staff are incredibly friendly, and even the older gentleman working the night shift was exceptionally warm and helpful. They patiently assisted with any requests, which was truly heartwarming. The beer and coke in the room are complimentary, and there's an unlimited supply of Nongfu Spring mineral water in the elevator area – such a thoughtful touch! The room was spotlessly clean. If you're coming to Hohhot, I highly recommend this place!

The hotel's location is excellent, right next to Zhenhua Plaza with many dining options nearby. Gerile Ama, Deshunyuan, and Lao Suiyuan are three restaurants within walking distance, which is very convenient! There's also a subway station nearby, making public transportation easy. If you're driving, it's just over two kilometers to attractions like Dazhao Temple and Saishang Old Street, but during holidays, parking can be difficult, so I recommend taking a taxi. The hotel breakfast is very rich; the hand-grabbed meat is tender, fresh, and not *****. They also have shumai, milk tea, 'beizi,' and various other Inner Mongolian specialties. Breakfast gets a big thumbs up. The room decor is new and stylish, and the large screen TV is a nice touch. Given how dry Inner Mongolia is, they provide a humidifier in the room, as well as earplugs. The thoughtful notes from the staff were a very nice touch! The only minor drawback was that we weren't reminded to register our license plate upon check-in. The hotel parking lot is shared with the nearby shopping center, so we were charged a few dozen yuan for parking when we left – that was the only downside! 😂

The room was spacious and new, and the cleanliness was excellent, with a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom. The hotel staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating. The breakfast spread was also generous, and the hotel's location is superb, right in the city center! It's very close to Dazhao Temple and MixC Mall, and there are two other large shopping malls nearby! I hadn't stayed at an Intercity hotel before when traveling, but I'll definitely be looking out for them in the future!

The Executive King Room I got was smaller than the one advertised on Ctrip's homepage. Other than that, everything was fine. The location is great, very convenient for transport, and there are lots of good places to eat nearby.
