Moodhoian Riverside Resort & Spa

Pros: - Located in a quiet spot, rooms with courtyard/pool views are lovely. - The plumbing is clean and works perfectly. - The air conditioning works great; it's quiet and not aimed directly at the bed, which is definitely a plus. The breakfast is varied, with omelets made to order, unsweetened homemade yogurt, and even strange but hearty Asian-style soups, etc. - It's surrounded by rice terraces, and you can ride bikes through them (bikes are provided). - Toiletries, bathrobes, towels, hairdryer, etc., are all available. Bottled water is also provided, and the minibar is stocked (for an additional charge). - The pool is clean and warm. Cons: - The hotel is already quite worn out. - The duvet had black mold (we accidentally pulled back the duvet cover and discovered it). - Something is wrong with the bathroom seals; when you shower, the entire floor gets wet afterward. Either the seals aren't properly done, or there are internal pipe leaks (our room was on the 2nd floor). - The balcony was dirty and hadn't been cleaned in a long time; there were even cigarette butts on the floor, and the chairs and table were a bit rusty. - The guests were Chinese (though this isn't the hotel's fault, and I hope it was an isolated incident), but I think they could have been told not to be noisy outside at 6:00 AM. I woke up to shouts, loud conversations, and laughter from guests having breakfast. I could upload a video here, but Trip.com doesn't allow it.

The pool was magnificent, but the breakfasts were just average. I liked the room, it had a great view of the pool and the river, though the balcony was a bit worn out.

The location isn't too far from the Old Town, the morning air was refreshing, and the breakfast was decent and good.
