Moon and Tri were such a delight! I instantly felt at home from the moment I parked my bike and entered the house. It's in a quiet and peaceful location, but also quick walk or bike ride to nearby stores and the beach. I really can't say enough positive things about the hospitality shown to me, especially being invited to join Tri and Moon for dinner (delicious local cuisine)! I just finished riding from HCMC to Hanoi, and this was hands down the best place I stayed, and I highly recommend this to anyone staying in the area. I really regret not having more time to stay another night.

Little far from ancient town but bikes available for rent for 30,000 a day.

Had a great and relaxing time here. It was everything that I needed close to the beach. The staff was extremely sweet and helpful and I would recommend it for people who are taking a slight break on their travels

The hotel is located on a small island near Hoi An in the Vegetable Village area. It's completely quiet and peaceful. Locals grow vegetables in their gardens, turning it into a tourist hotspot with several cafes overlooking the process. The location is fantastic, but it's quite a distance from Hoi An itself—50 minutes by foot and 25 minutes from the beach, so renting a bike is a must; the hotel does offer bike rentals. As for the accommodation itself, the main advantage is, of course, the very welcoming owner and his wife! The main drawback, however, is the lack of cleanliness and tidiness. The photos don't reflect the current state of the property. The breakfast area with tables and a mown lawn is gone; in its place is now just a waist-high field of overgrown grass. The pool is uncleaned and wasn't cleaned even once during our stay, even though we went for a swim almost every day, and the owners noticed. During our five-night stay, our towels and bed linens weren't changed once, our trash wasn't taken out, and we weren't cleaned. They only gave us new bottles of water once. The air conditioners in the rooms were moldy inside, so much so that our neighbors didn't even dare use them. Hot water and pressure were only occasionally adequate. A terrible sewer smell periodically emanated from the bathroom pipes—this was the case in all the rooms. But overall, despite all these downsides, I was left with a good impression of the place. River views from every room with floor-to-ceiling windows, breakfast with a good selection at a convenient time, and a very positive energy from the hosts—these aspects outweighed the other downsides! It's clear this place used to be a great place, and they were enthusiastic about it, judging by the photos. So, I highly recommend the hosts bring your attention back to your place, and everything will be great!🫶

The Moon River Homestay & Villa is a pleasant and atmospheric place away from the hustle and bustle of the city center. Situated right by the river, it's surrounded by gardens, vegetable patches, and tranquility. The rooms are compact but cozy and comfortable. There's a pool, and they sometimes host Vietnamese cooking classes—a fun way to participate. Breakfasts are à la carte, with a choice of one dish. A downside: mosquitoes can be present by the river during peak season, so bring repellent. If you're looking to relax, unwind, and experience nature, this is a great place. Idyllically situated in the countryside, but far from the center. We were welcomed and they helped us with our special requests, such as renting a scooter and arranging a transfer to the bus for a fee.

Very nice host, gives helpful tips, offers cooking classes on-site, great location, and excellent value for money. The room needs some TLC (water stains/slight mold), but the view was lovely. The bicycles were unfortunately in rather poor condition and overpriced, as was the moped – however, they were always addressed immediately. Overall, highly recommended!

Very responsive and pleasant hosts, delicious breakfast, very quiet and peaceful place, after all it is a village, good room, equipment is present, furniture is old, but the bed is good, comfortable. Since it is a village, expect to see lizards and not only on the street, but they are so small and cute). But if you faint from the sight of such creatures, then think for yourself, decide for yourself)

Tri & Moon were lovely hosts and were very helpful and accommodating. Tri's breakfasts were delicious and it was to have several options to choose from, so we had a different local dish every day, along with lovely Vietnamese coffee. The room was basic, but had everything we needed. It was great value for money and we would happily stay again.
