I was very disappointed with this place, from arrival to departure. I don't like giving bad reviews to small businesses but need to give a true, accurate account that we experienced. I really thought I must be staying in a different place to other reviewers? We arrived to a feeling of unfriendliness and was hardly spoken to in three days! (we didn't book any tours or cars, maybe this is the reason?). We had the displeasure of being given the 'garden' room and not the promised room with a balcony (that seems to get agreeable reviews). The room lacked privacy and was quite cold and we only had a single sheet, no blankets were in the room - although it was quite spacious and the bed sheets were clean. The bathroom was dirty, smelly and had mould on the walls. We were given shampoo sachets to wash (no soap) and our (damp) towels weren't changed (or room cleaned) in 3 days! No coffee was offered the first day - just a pot of cold water masquerading as green tea and when I did ask for a coffee - it was served cold. The breakfast was limited and there was definitely no "exceptional' breakfast served, as stated in my booking (and other reviews). I really didn't feel comfortable asking for anything more than what was given.The location is good in regards of being near to the old quarter, although crossing the bridge was hectic and there wasn't much this side of the bridge. I wouldn't return here. I just wished I had read the lowest reviews on booking sites! This is an edited account as requested by TA.
