We booked this hotel at the last minute. We arrived and our reservation was ready (******* has been great with reservations—10 minutes approx). The staff were nice and our room (one night for a family room $152.80) was great. It seems recently renovated and has clean linens/towels. There is a restaurant that is not associated with the hotel serving German food. We actually wanted something lighter then we went to an amazing Italian restaurant 3 minutes walk from the hotel: La Ruota. There is a parking available and elevator. We recommend it.

Was für ein schöner Ort- es startet gleich mit der netten und offenen Begrüssung durch das Team und endet mit der herzlichen Verabschiedung der Inhaberin Andrea. Ein individuelles Konzept, optisch und qualitativ auf höchstem Niveau- ein Traum weit ab von bekannten Einheits- Hotels- das macht mich happy. Der grosszügige SPA Bereich ist für mich persönlich das Highlight- neben der persönlichen und super netten Betreuung durch das Team. Auch wenn wir zu einen Arbeitsmeeting vor Ort waren- so war es doch wie versprochen- hoch gekommen um runter zu kommen. See you!

We made a reservation for our group under our name at Das Tegernsee on January 6, 2024, for a stay in July 2024. We initially planned for 11 couples, but only 6 couples attended. We booked the Das Tegernsee package, which included two nights, parking, one massage per person, breakfast, and we upgraded everyone to a five-course dinner instead of a three course dinner for both nights. Given our previous stay at the hotel we expected a seamless and memorable experience. Unfortunately, our stay was marred by several issues. Firstly, half of our rooms were on the ground floor, which was not what we expected or requested. With six months of advanced notice, we anticipated that the hotel would arrange for higher-floor rooms with better views, especially since all rooms booked were of the same category and in the same area. The event planners, Stefanie and Malena, did not check in with us prior to our arrival to confirm anything, leading to a lack of preparedness that became evident throughout our stay. The coordination of massage times was poorly handled. We were not allowed to book our massages until a week or so out from our reservation, which made no sense instead of blocking times for our party in advance. We had hoped for a relaxing experience where couples could enjoy their massages together or at similar times. Instead, the schedules were haphazard, and one couple was told they did not have massages scheduled at all. This was despite having confirmed their appointments via email and with front desk staff. Das Tegernsee sent out emails to the couples relating to their massages and stated that additional spa services were available. When one of the couples reached out to add a facial, the hotel said the service was not possible, even though they were the ones offering/upselling spa services. To make matters worse, the staff was rude to this couple, telling them that the massage time issues were their fault since they never confirmed the appointment and that they should not take the massage and leave. However, the couple had the confirmation email of their massage, and Sara from the front desk walked with them to the massage/spa area to confirm the massages. there is an obvious disconnect between the masseuses/spa and the rest of the hotel. Additionally, the hotel offered a 6 PM massage to one couple, which directly conflicted with our group's 6:30 PM dinner reservation at Das Tegernsee’s restaurant. Furthermore, our entire party was informed that parking was not included, even though the Das Tegernsee package clearly stated that parking was part of the package. This added another layer of frustration to our stay. This trip was particularly significant as it was a wedding celebration uniting two families. I had previously visited this hotel as a couple, and the experience was great, which is why I recommended it to our group. I genuinely liked Das Tegernsee, but the issues are too much to overlook. I'm really conflicted about this hotel, in some ways it's a great hotel and in others not so much. I'll start with check in, I booked a ”Queen bed” which to me means bigger than double especially as there is an option for just a double. so had to pay to upgrade to a ”executive room” which had the bigger bed, so another €60 on to our bill, but was discounted from €90. room was big, bed was very big and very comfortable. had to ask for a kettle (had a coffee machine but no kettle) had a minibar so a fridge which the first room didn't have even tho website says a minibar. all rooms have balconies but no furniture out there so I had to ask for chairs, also dont think the balconies have been cleaned in a while, i left foot prints in the dust. bathroom was old and needs refurbishment, shower pressure is rubbish, water drains very slowly and bath has all gone rusty. our first room was right next to the second room and overlooked some car park but then right next to it is a factory and then behind that some excavation work is taking place, the 1st night all was quiet as it was Easter but the second night from 3.30am lorries with there reversing noises where going on and that night the factory noise went on till almost 10pm. this is not the hotels fault- but if booking a room I would ask for a different location for room. breakfast was beautiful, everything u would want, all presented lovely and u could have omlette made to order. we used the resturant the 1st night, the food was very nice but very expensive- but we later found out this is how Germany is. Husband used the gym- mini gym as they call it and it is mini but it kept him happy for an hour. pool is a added bonus but pictures make it look bigger than it is, Sadly it was far too cold for me to get in and the steam/sauna are only turned on at certain times and we missed the time slot but they both looked good sizes. all the staff we came across, from reception, to restaurant and breakfast staff and especially the cleaners were lovely, very polite and helpful if u have any questions or requests. we would stay here again if it was the original price for the larger bed and if we had a different room location.

The hotel room was great. Fantastic view and wonderful staff. The beds are comfy and the bathroom has heated floors. The breakfast is very typical German food which is exactly what I wanted to experience. I recommend making dinner reservations at this hotel if you decide to dine there. Just a side note. The spa was closed Sunday and Monday. So if you’d like to book a massage I recommend doing it ahead of time. Otherwise the pool area and the saunas were great. Going back to the staff, ash-vannah ( the wonderful receptionist) was so informative and so welcoming. I recommend talking to her for tips and advice on the area. I recommend visiting the Slyrs distillery. Take the tour and taste some of the best whiskey in the area.

The location is perfect..in front of hotel is shuttle bus 190/191 that can bring u from n to munich ost n near to marientplatz, the breakfast is AWESOME. We really love it, i n my husband n boy love it. The room is clean and has kettle for hot water. Eveything is perfect and if we come back to munich, we will booking this hotel again Thank you holiday inn express 🫰🫰my boy has given this chocolate santa by hotel staff

Directly near the motorway, sufficient parking, everything clean and clean, good breakfast, careful staff and overall very child-friendly, therefore also absolutely recommended for families. Room was also clean, with the outfit sofa for the kids no longer very big, but it was all enough to sleep (we were on the way over the day). We're happy to come back!

A seven night stay in a very good, comfortable hotel situated on a busy main road at the entrance to a business park. We had a spacious and comfortable accessible room with a sizeable bathroom and a decent shower. The room included a Nespresso coffee machine with three pods that were replaced daily, as were the bottles of water in the mini bar. On arrival there was also a complementary tray of fruit awaiting us, along with a bar of chocolate and some cashew nuts. The room had everything we needed, including numerous power points, and there was ample room for my partner to manoeuvre her electric wheelchair, All the staff were very friendly and helpful, and our room rate included an excellent breakfast. There was a live cooking station for eggs etc, and at the weekend a complementary glass of prosecco was provided - a nice touch. We didn't eat in either of the hotel's restaurants in the evening, but we did avail ourselves of the Hemingway Bar menu and room service a few times. This was a limited menu but the dishes were of good quality and the helpings sizeable. My partner's requirements for gluten-free options were well catered for, both at breakfast and when choosing from the bar menu. Would highly recommend. Thank you.
