The hosts were fantastic. We are 3 weeks into our road trip to Alaska, and the Juneberry was by far the best place we have stayed.

We had the pleasure of staying at the Juneberry Lodge while in Homer performing a concert and school program for the Homer Council on the Arts. Our hosts Mannfried and Marcia were delightful. Wonderful, comfortable accommodations, delicious breakfasts and warm and engaging conversation. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Thank you for a memorable stay in Homer. Damon Zick

Charming, immaculate, inviting! Our three night stay at Juneberry Lodge made our trip to Homer wonderful and was one of the highlights of our trip to Alaska. The room was cozy and comfortable, breakfast was delicious, and the views spectacular! Marcia and Mannfried suggested wonderful things to do and places to eat locally. Highly recommend staying at Juneberry Lodge!

What a cozy special place the Lodge is! Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Nice location. The views of the bay and mountains are just spectacular in every direction. The grounds of the lodge are lovely with a nice open patio to use right out your door. We absolutely loved visiting with our gracious hosts, sharing stories of Alaska and learning more about the Homer area. They gave us good tips as to where to go and what to see with the time we had which we so appreciated. As for the breakfasts and Coffee-Fantastic!! I can still taste the authentic sour dough pancakes. Thank you both again for such an amazing stay! We really enjoy visiting with you. Lance and Val Honer

I had an amazing stay with Marcia and Mannfried. I was visiting Alaska with family and Marcia and Mannfried made sure to give us the best information on where to go, how to handle logistics, and most importantly, a great place to stay! Juneberry Lodge itself is an amazing log cabin filled with artifacts and art representing Alaska indigenioous culture, wildlife, and unique frontier history. Mannfried made us delicious breakfasts every morning and Marcia gave us the best tips on where to go and how to best experience Homer and the surrounding areas. I plan on returning soon!

My wife & I loved Homer especially our stay (5nights) at the Juneberry! The views of the glacier across the bay were very relaxing as were the accommodations. This home is a Time Capsule, many antique pieces with stories to tell, Marcia & Mannfried are curators preserving and sharing the history with their guest. The breakfast are memorable, the food and conversation a good way to start a great day😎 We loved our stay! Kim &Roger from TN 8/18-23/2023

Our family of 8 spent two nights at the Juneberry Lodge in Homer. It is a beautiful lodge with a great view of the Kachemak Bay. Our hosts were very gracious and helpful. Our rooms were nice, each with our own private bathroom. There was a common room, living room for us to sit, talk and play games. They had a nice large grassy yard for the boys to play ball. Our breakfast was very good with plenty to eat and drink.

Juneberry Lodge is effing amazing. Where to start? The place is a beautiful log & stone home & you’ll feel at home right away when you leave your outside shoes on a shelf by the door & wander around in your socks or slippers. The 1st floor also includes a lovely den area with picture windows overlooking a large grassy yard & cute gazebo. Marcia is a delightful hostess & has outfitted the den with comfy seating, many books & magazines, coffee, hot tea, & a mini fridge. The 3 guest rooms are also on the 1st floor & 2 have en suite bathrooms while the one with the bathroom across the hall provides not only thoughtful robes, but also the best window view! Amazing breakfasts are professionally prepared by talented host Mannfried; while we were there we enjoyed crepes overflowing with a variety of berries & sourdough blueberry pancakes the next! Breakfasts were leisurely & the conversation flowed as we enjoyed learning about the various antiques in the large dining/living area.
