Enjoy winter seasons experiences of ice fishing, snow shoeing, fires in the snow and skating on the lake. The summer season offers experiences of paddling adventures, hikes, and fishing to reading a book and enjoying a peaceful evening under the stars, North Frontenac Lodge offers an experience away from a fast-paced, complicated life that encourages you to breathe and feel nature as it is meant to be. Willow Cabin is a 1940s classic Canadian experience. Willow cabin was the former cook's quarters of fishing lodge, and has just been renovated and updated and is a 4 season cabin. This 2 bedroom, plus loft cabin has a vaulted pine ceiling and lots of open living space, creating a cozy and relaxing space with a large outdoor deck just a few steps away from the lake.The cabin is equipped and ready with all necessities and essentials for a family getaway or a unique adventurous stay for those looking to unplug and relax. Willow includes a master bedroom with king bed, a second bedroom with queen/single bunk beds, a loft with a queen bed, and a fold out ottoman. In Winter months, there is a wood stove and electric heat to keep guests warm and cozy. Willow has a full bathroom with tub/shower. The kitchen is stocked and has a dining area that seats 9 with a table and island seating for 4.The deck has a dining and seating area overlooking the lake, with a fireplace and BBQ. The cabin has many windows and makes Willow a perfect spot to enjoy the essence of nature. Guests are encouraged to explore the lake using the canoes, kayaks, stand up paddle boards and pedal boat that are available for our guests to use. During the Winter we have snowshoes and an auger for ice fishing available for guests. For guests who have a snowmobile there are great trails to explore.Enjoy the best night sky in Ontario right beside the fire, either at your cabin, the firepit on the beach, or the common area, right in the centre of the property. There is two main access to the lake on both sides of the lodge. The back dock is perfect for diving, swimming, and fishing. The main dock is on the beach and gradually inclines into the water.North Frontenac Lodge has a beautiful sense of community, and we’ve seen many guests leave as friends. Pets are always welcome to join your adventures at the lodge.If your party is larger than eight people and you require more sleeping space, we offer a newly renovated Bunkie that accommodates two more guests. The Cottage is a custom built Log Home designed for the entire family. It is located on a private lake 350km North East of Toronto. Loons and beavers will greet you as you sit on the dock in the morning! If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful getaway....this cottage is for you! This is my 4th Year renting and have truly enjoyed sharing the cottage with everyone.Whether you like to sit and relax, canoe, fish or just lay out on the dock, you can do it all at the cottage. The night skies are especially dark and stargazing is a favorite thing to do! The Cottage can sleep up to 6 people with room on the couches for 2 more!This reservation has a Super Flexible cancellation policy - refunds will be issued up to 14 day prior to the check in date.A 100% refund is provided for travellers cancelling at least 14 days before check-in. A 50% refund is provided for travellers cancelling from 7 to 13 days before check-in. No refunds are provided for travellers cancelling less than 7 days prior to check-in. Or if you prefer, you'll also find Muskoka chairs at the dock, perfect for quietly sitting and sipping your coffee as you take in the morning views.This lake is great for swimming, fishing/ice fishing, and other water sports, and we have provided a canoe, 2 kayaks, a paddle board and a large floating water pad for your enjoyment. And because Fourteen Island Lake has no public boat access and only a small amount of cottages lining its shores, the water is crystal clean and clear.Our lake house offers 1300 sqft. of bright open living space. The kitchen has all basic amenities, as well as a 10ft island for ample workspace, and a farmhouse table that seats 10. There is a reverse osmosis water system in the kitchen for safe drinking water. Enjoy making and sharing your meals while overlooking the lake via the patio slider. Two of the bedrooms offer a queen bed and the third offers two sets of bunks, all sturdy enough and comfortable for adults. No need to fear rainy days as we have a variety of books, games, and puzzles, perfect for adults and kids alike. You'll also find a smart television with loads of DVD's and access to Netflix as well as other streaming apps, and a Wii gaming system to keep you entertained.Starlink Wifi is available to keep you connected. Air conditioning is not available but a quick dip in the lake and fans in every bedroom will keep you cool and comfortable.Nearby Activities:*Walk, bike, snowmobile, ATV and cross country skiing: we are a 10 min drive from the K&P trail*Hike backwoods trails, kayak, swim, canoe, and bird watch at South Frontenac Provincial Park, 5 minutes away.*Golf: Riverdell Golf Course is an 18 hole course, and just a 5 minute drive away.*Star Gaze: North Frontenac Dark Sky Preserve is just an hour drive north and has excellent star viewing. There is also excellent star gazing right outside the cottage doors and from the sky lights in the two main bedrooms. *Stock up on necessities: You'll find grocery, beer, and hardware stores, as well as a gas station in Verona - just 5 min away. Or if you prefer the amenities a larger city has to offer, Kingston is just a 30 min drive south.*Looking for more adventure? There is no shortage of things to do and see in Kingston.
