GGuest UserFirst off, the location is fantastic, with plenty of great food options nearby. It's a newly renovated villa, and as soon as you walk in, it's a real 'wow' moment! It feels so inviting, and the whole hallway smells lovely – not a hint of renovation odor! Both the front desk staff and the owner are super friendly. It's clean, tidy, and comfortable from top to bottom. It's also incredibly smart; my husband and I even found ourselves calling out 'Xiao Du' (the smart assistant) at our next destination! 😂 This is one guesthouse we'll truly miss after checking out. Other places just don't compare. The value for money is absolutely amazing, and you can tell the owner puts a lot of heart into running it! I'm quite picky and a bit lazy, so for me to say all this, it really means something, because it's truly worth it ❤️

GGuest UserLocated near Qilou Old Street, above a KFC, the hotel is surrounded by numerous restaurants, making shopping and dining a breeze. Across from the clock tower, there's a bus stop nearby, making transportation easy. My room had a pleasant view of the clock tower. Everything else was fine, except for a 24-hour front desk, as indicated by the online booking. However, when I checked out at 6:30 AM, the front desk was empty, displaying only a contact number, which was inconsistent with the online information. However, given the reasonable price and the excellent service attitude of the staff who responded to my WeChat message at 7:30 AM, I'm not going to deduct points for this.

GGuest UserAbsolutely stunning! Facing the sea, it's incredibly refreshing and calming. Rongshanliao is Hainan's very own Dali! This hotel is also very Instagrammable and has a fresh, minimalist vibe. If I had to be nitpicky, I'd say the cleanliness could be a bit better. But I don't blame the owners; the beach is right outside, and with white floors, it's hard to keep it spotless every second. Perhaps they could consider putting a hose to rinse off sand right by the entrance?

AAnonymous UserThe preferred B&B, with beautiful environment and pleasant scenery. Quietness is the most important thing. The pillow is too high and my neck hurts when I sleep. I hope the quilt can be thicker as winter is coming. When I first checked in, I didn't consider other hotels or B&Bs. The attitude of some B&Bs is really bad. The summer is really great. The service attitude and response speed are so fast. It is recommended that the babies who stay in the B&B should tell the business in advance that they don't want to be disturbed if they stay for several consecutive days, otherwise they may be knocked on the door by the housekeeping lady! If you need to clean or change toiletries, you can tell the business directly. I will tell you after I go out because I like to sleep in! It's definitely not a trustee! ! ! I really like this B&B❤️

MMarina KhudiakovaThe hotel is conveniently located opposite the railway station and a huge shopping center, which can serve as landmarks, since the hotel is located in the courtyards and it was difficult for me to find it the first time. The bed in the room is comfortable, the bed linen is clean. The air conditioner is new and works silently. The room has towels, slippers, a kettle, a comb, a toothbrush, shower gel, shampoo. There are a lot of cafes and shops nearby. The owner is very friendly.

GGuest UserThe four bedroom apartment is actually the whole 13th floor with 4 separate rooms and a foyer area. There is no kitchen but that's not a problem since you are very close to qilou old streets. The location is perfect as it is not in the thick of the noise but is only 5 mins away with great views. The rooms are huge and generously appointed. Fabulously clean and had many amenities of a hotel. Downsides are that the receptionist is through a liquor shop and slightly hard to find (see other reviews). The restaurant is very basic and shabby. The alternative is 2nd floor dim sum hall which is amazingly authentic but may be too hectic for foreigners. Ktv bar shuts at 11 so noise was not an issue and the staff at the rooftop bar were delightful. Service staff were welcoming and responsive. Excellent welcome fruit platter. Overall one of the most colourful experiences in Haikou and a fabulous alternative to hotels for a large family.

GGuest UserThis stay experience was really great! The environment of the homestay is clean and tidy, the decoration style is warm and stylish, the room is well lit, the bedding is comfortable, and I wake up naturally when I sleep. The landlord is super enthusiastic, not only communicated the details of the stay in advance, but also recommended the nearby superb restaurants and attractions, saving the trouble of doing the strategy. The location is also very convenient, within walking distance to the high-speed rail station and popular business districts. Full details, prepared toiletries, mineral water, and even small snacks, so intimate! The price is super high, I will definitely choose here next time I come to play, I highly recommend it to my friends!

GGuest UserAll-in-all a no frills stay. Location was convenient, right in the heart of Qilou Old Street. However, transport pick ups will be a slight issue as the hotel is fronted on a walking street that doesn't allow for vehicles. Staff was very friendly and helpful, and made our stay very comfortable. We had some issues with the wifi, but unsure if it had anything to do with the firewall.

GGuest UserNianhai Book Bureau Hotel is newly renovated in 2025, the appearance is OK, but parking is very inconvenient, next to the hotel gate is close to the waste recycling station , there is no parking space of its own, you need to park at Baishamen Park opposite the road, and you need to pay the screenshot of your own fee and then find the store for reimbursement.
The lighting layout of the room is unreasonable, except for brightness and warmth, the so-called warmth is that the lights are all off, and brightness is the light.
The room was clean and tidy, and there was a smell of wall paint because of the new decoration. The bathroom provided disposable towels.
The highlight is that there is a bookstore in the lobby where you can sit on the sofa and read.

GGuest UserOk so this is another B&B home stay that I tried after staying for one night in an overpriced one next door. This is better price wise but much worse in terms of cleanliness and overall care for the place. My room had previous guests hair, plastic wrapping my, a used juice bottle in the fridge and no toilet paper. And also overall for a new place, it looked very run down. I cut my stay short as a result.
This stretch of the beach is nice and all these home stays are decent accommodations for like a B&B or Homestay style. Same issues - village is quiet during the hot day and literally nothing to do as there are no swimming pools or gyms or spas or anything really around. Street stalls open in the evening when Sun comes down. This place is also overpriced although much less so than the previous one. Sgd68/night for a room with direct ocean view. Much better than Sgd125/night one next door.
Overall recommendation - unless u are Chinese or speak fluent Chinese and don’t mind staying in the room all day reading or doing nothing, while watching the ocean, don’t recommend to stay here.
I got a good deal at Holidays Inn nearby for sgd50/night with good breakfast included top floor. Not luxurious and needs some maintenance too, but at least has a gym, a restaurant, and a sky pool.
Overall disappointing experience @ this rongshangliao village.
