Can’t decide between a cabin on the lake or a cabin in the woods? Superior Reflections #3 is the best of both worlds. This is the perfect place to get away from it all (NO WIFI) on a peaceful plot of land overlooking Lake Superior. Access to the cobblestone shore of the lake is a short walk (about 300 feet) down the gravel driveway. While not directly on Lake Superior, you are nestled amongst the trees in a quiet and peaceful setting. This is a great rental combination with Superior Reflections 1 and 2 to relax and enjoy the beautiful north woods. This 2-bedroom, 1 bath cabin has a full bed in each room. The main room includes a kitchen with the basic necessities, and a couch and 2 chairs and a TV for the DVD player and HDMI input for watching movies. The TV is not connected with an antenna or satellite, and is just for DVD viewing. The bathroom has a shower and a view of the woods. There’s a cozy porch with a table and chairs to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature and look out at Lake Superior. It’s the perfect spot to watch for Ore boats off in the distance. Outside there’s a picnic table and charcoal grill. Across the highway is the Gitchi Gami bike trail. Temperance River State Park is practically in our backyard with miles of hiking trails and beautiful waterfalls. Nearby you will find Cross River, Father Baraga’s Cross, and the Sugarloaf Cove Nature Center. The Schroeder Bakery is a great place to start your day with a coffee, breakfast sandwiches and bakery. After a day of hiking you could stop for a malt or pizza. This is a seasonal cabin open May through October. Pets are welcome with prior approval and an additional fee, 2 pet maximum. Due to the location on the shore and season, water may taste salty. We provide drinking water for you.We provide towels, linens and soaps. Nestled along the bank of Lake Superior's rugged coastline, right at the very end of Cascade Beach Road, WoodSong is situated at the edge of Cascade River State Park and almost exactly between Lutsen and Grand Marais — easy 10-minute drives in either direction. Each of its 2 bedrooms has its own, private spa-like bath, complete with deep soaking tub. Outside, the charm is in full force … Not only is WoodSong's patio a stone's throw from Lake Superior's lapping waves, but it also has a lake-side covered porch. Repurposed from an original, historic North Shore fish house — one of the few that remain standing from that bygone era — time with coffee, wine, and friends is about as close to North Shore ecstasy as it gets! Painted Rock sits perched on a quaint spit of Lake Superior ledge rock, halfway between Lutsen and Grand Marais on the edge of Cascade River State Park. This historic log cabin has been fully restored to retain all its original charm and history of bygone days, while updated with all the modern amenities. An unusually large Main Room is home to a wood-burning fireplace, dining table, game table, and picture windows that bring the Big Lake indoors in all seasons. The master bedroom has a queen bed, and its private entrance directly onto the deck allows guests to fall asleep to the soothing sound of gently lapping waves. The bathroom is outfitted in spa-like fashion, with an oversized deep-soaker tub and heated floors. With a 2nd bedroom, also outfitted with a queen bed,, Painted Rock can comfortably sleep 4 adults.
