The Banhoek Lodge in Stellenbosch offers a truly enchanting stay. The room was beautifully designed, blending comfort and elegance, with a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains and lush vineyards. Waking up to such scenery was a highlight of our trip. The breakfast was delightful, with fresh and flavorful options to start the day perfectly. A serene and luxurious escape in the heart of wine country—highly recommended!
This is probably the best guest house you will ever stay in .. It just excels at well . Everything.. The rooms are extremely spacious.. with great sleep quality.. huge walk in showers .. Terrific freshly cooked breakfasts .. And then there are the most amazing staff.. Billy and Lovemore .. I’m thinking of changing my name buddy.. we’re just there when needed. Thank you X It’s location is ideal too as just a five minute walk to the main road full of restaurants/bars etc. Steve .. I wish you and your lovely wife all the best and good luck for the future.. Not that you need it as Le Petit Paris is stunning and I,m thinking now how lucky you had availability on our dates. Comes very highly recommended. My advice would be book early .. not many rooms here .. Enjoy !
Myself and my Mom had the privilege to have Xmas dinner at Dr Leeuwenhof estate, the welcoming glass of ice cold champagne in the Paarl heat set the stage for a delicious evening, the canapes looked amazing and each little morsel was super delicious, plenty variety to taste.the staff was super friendly and welcoming, created a nice relaxing evening. The main course was so Devine and once again a super large variety of salads, each and every one was so so delicious. And the cherry on top was the super Devine desserts. I was so satisfied in every way. Thank you to all the staff for creating such a mouth watering evening.
We had a spiffing stay at the hotel and thoroughly enjoyed the upstairs in the charming old traditional thatch roof building, staying in the room call Superior King Suite 2. From this room, you can look down the valley to see the mountains, as well as overlooking the beautiful resort pool. The pool is a very good size and features comfy sun beds, perfect for relaxation. The guest house is just a short walk from the main town, making it very serene and quiet. While sitting in the garden, you can hear the soothing sounds of songbirds and crickets. The staff are incredibly kind, with Elmarie standing out for her attentiveness and warmth. :-) The breakfast is delicious, offering a variety of options to suit different tastes. look forward to our return trip, Many Thanks
Nestled amidst the breathtaking mountains, Tulbagh Mountain Manor is a tranquil haven that promises an unforgettable escape. We had the pleasure of staying for three nights, and every moment was infused with serenity and beauty. The setting is a dream—surrounded by majestic peaks, lush greenery, and a stillness that instantly soothes the soul. The peaceful ambiance is a true antidote to the rush of everyday life, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the natural splendor. The service was impeccable, with every detail thoughtfully attended to. The team went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Breakfast each morning was a highlight—deliciously prepared with fresh ingredients and served with warmth and care. Tulbagh Mountain Manor is more than just a getaway; it's a sanctuary where nature and hospitality come together in perfect harmony. We cannot wait to return to this slice of paradise. Highly recommended for anyone seeking rest, rejuvenation, and a connection with nature.
We had a wonderful stay at this very beautiful Wine Farm. We stayed in one of the cottages near to the lake which was well presented, clean and all the facilities you require. Breakfast was plentiful and the catering staff were most helpful. There are also many excellent restaurants in this area of Stellenbosch and when we revist again we will definitely be staying at Webersburg.
Our group of 11 guests occupied six rooms during our stay. We would like to commend the staff at theLAB, who were exceptional in their efforts to meet our needs and handled various situations with professionalism. The breakfasts were particularly outstanding. Regrettably, our overall experience was marred by numerous issues in each of the rooms we occupied. Below are specific examples: Blocked toilets Non-functional lights, both manually and via smart technology Blinds that failed to operate Outside lights that could not be turned off, resulting in excessive brightness in pool-facing rooms, which disrupted sleep. One staff member had to return after midnight to assist with this issue. Showers with either very low water pressure or complete failure; when relocated to another room, the shower conditions were similarly inadequate, leaving guests exposed while using the facilities. Staff were unable to resolve maintenance issues such as fixing lights or connecting them to smart applications. Inconsistencies in room amenities, such as kettles present without accompanying tea or coffee supplies. In summary, while theLAB is marketed as a high-tech, upscale hotel, our experience did not reflect the value we expected for our investment. I asked for my feedback to be forwarded to the owner, and was promised a call from him. That was last month. I've heard nothing. It's a pitty.
