Alltybrain Farm Cottages and B&B

A very comfortable and welcoming stay I had here. Beautiful gardens and a tasty breakfast.

Stayed in a lovely one bed cottage. There was everything we needed. Very peaceful for our first week away in 15 months. Owners very friendly and helpful. Place was very clean and well equipped. Really sunny little courtyard overlooking fields. Fantastic sun trap. Plenty of parking space. Ideal location for a peaceful break to unwind and recharge.

One night stay over - very comfortable, quiet and great host. Lovely breakfast and had a lovely walk around the gardens

A beautiful cottage with old fashioned style.. the owners were so welcoming and kind.. unfortunately there are no tellys in the rooms which I should have checked before hand so this is not no ones fault but my biggest concern was the fly infestation in our bedroom surrounding the curtains.. when I closed them I disrupted them an it filled the room with flies.. the lady (rose I think) was besides her self an was quickly there to help hoover them up an spray the remainder of flies but by this point I asked to move room which again was no trouble at all.. we was located downstairs in a smaller double room but it was absolutely fine but we was told the bathroom next door was not in use because her husband used it to which I was very disappointed at the thought of having to go all the way back upstairs to use the toilet? But within 10 mins rose came an cleaned the bathroom next to us meaning we didn’t have to use the upstairs bathroom which was a godsend as I’d climed pen y fan in the day an my legs were in bits!!! So breakfast was at 8am from our own choice an we had a range of condiments available an we had our breakfast cooked along with fresh coffee.. by this point we was ready to come away but even though we had an issue with the flies an no telly the owners were lovely an kind an couldn’t be more helpful.

This is an adorable B&B with lovely hosts. Easy to park, check in, and very cosy. Definitely has the cottage farmhouse appeal to it. And breakfast was amazing. What a great find! I didn’t have wifi in my room, but I could get good wifi by sitting on the steps outside the cottages while admiring the view!

Great place and lovely people Breakfast isn’t included as hotel. Com says on my booking as it’s self catering so be prepared Bed could do with replacement as two singles put together is very uncomfortable for a couple But overall lovely

We were a group of seven who opted to stay at this beautiful place owned by Rose and her husband. Three of us stayed at the main lodge and four stayed at the self catering lodge for 2nights in October 2022. What a lovely place to stay at and only about a 20minutes drive to the popular Pen Y Fan and Corn Du peaks. We also ventured out to do the four falls hike before leaving Wales, this is a bit further from the lodge, about a 40minutes drive but well worth it. We had a clear blue sky on the day we tackled the two above peaks and on the second day, a clear mild day for the waterfalls. The curtain type fall is without doubt the best because you get to go behind the fall. Since it has been raining leading up to the day we visited, the waterfalls were really gushing out tremendous water, spectacular! All in all, I would definitely recommend this farmhouse lodge to anyone wishing to stay at a marvellous place and within close proximity to the Brecon Beacons park. Thank you Rose.

Stayed for three nights in the B&B. The house is well set back from the road with stunning views and is incredible peaceful . We enjoyed the room and superb breakfast but what really made our stay was the friendliness and helpfulness of our hosts Patrick and Rose. We were lucky enough to be there as they were harvesting their honey and this made my stay even more memorable and genuinely special. Thankyou to answering my endless questions on Bee Keeping.

We stayed two weeks in Duck Cottage. Everything about the property was exactly as described or better, there was nothing we wanted or could have been improved for us. Rose and Patrick are great hosts and the farm is just delightful with interesting animals and fine views. The bed in Duck Cottage in probably the best we've ever slept in. The location is great for not just the Beacons but that whole area of South Wales too. Brecon is an interesting small town with some nice pubs and places for coffee or a beer. If you visit, go to the Butchers in Crickhowell (about 20 mins away), they have truly fabulous BBQ supplies.
