It's a hard one to review. The building itself has had many negative reviews however we didn't think it was bad at all. Crowded with people when you enter, trying to get you to take their cards and that but not overly pushy, and they ignore you once they recognise you. Everyone was polite even those in the lifts. The lift is the second lot of lifts on the right after entering the building. The lift to take is the one on the left hand side for floor 8. We did have to wait a few times but not overly long. Going down we mostly took the stairs. On arrival at 5.30pm the room was not ready as previous guests had a late checkout. We were asked to leave our bags and come back. But on explaining how tired we were, the lovely lady put us into a single room to wait. However there wasn't room to swing a cat in there so we just left our bags and headed out for a few hours. On our return our room was ready. Room was small, but clean. Bed small but comfortable. Tony bathroom but functional. Shower head was above toilet and sink so a total wet room. Shoes were provided for she wet room. Sound proofing non existent. For the price you pay it would be unacceptable in any other country however for Hong Kong I think it was pretty reasonable for the room we had. Personally, the worst inconvenience for me was the shower. Everything else was ok. There was filtered water, hot water, little sweets and unlimited coffee sachets available and the lady who runs the place was friendly and welcoming, a lovely lady. If back in Hong Kong, I would not have any issues staying here again.

I was frustrated when I arrive because the owner said that the booking was considered cancelled/invalid since I requested cancelation previously, on which Trip.com said that the owner does not allow cancellation/refund and advised that they'll keep the booking as is. When I arrived, since the owner said that the booking was considered cancelled, the owner provided a very small room (which I think was a storage room) which I refused to accept, and later on have me stay on a different guest house which was good as it was spacious. I will give good ratings to the owner for professionaly handling the issue.

Conveniently located near the A21 airport bus stop and just a short walk from the MTR station. Room cleanliness is satisfactory.

We are used to travel for the cheapest price possible, that’s why we chose this hotel. We didn’t expect something grandiose. But there is one thing which I am uncompromising, on the hygiene. The room was messy, stains and hair on the mattress and bed sheets. The person in charge of this hotel is also dishonest. She sent us messaging through the day during our stay to make us change room. Also the last day she kicked us out earlier than the check out time because I quote “it’s Sunday, it’s earlier check out time” Geographically the accommodation location is good but the building and the access to it is unsafe, and very complicated. The last day we had to go down 8 floors with all our luggage because it was impossible to catch the tiny elevator of this 24 floors building. My advice would be to pay a little bit more to not ruin your Hong Kong’s experience

Imagine being in the room and someone open the door on you to inform you, it's because she heard a soundsb inside, while I was naked and she keeps the door open to apologize by staring at you, ***.. worse experience ever, because of that I had to carry all my stuff everytime I'm going out because I was afraid of being rob.

The room was very small as expected. We arrived past midnight so we checked in by ourselves. The air conditioner didn't work at first so it was very stuffy, we had to call the owner on the phone in the hall. She arrived quickly, apologized and fixed it. The air conditioner in the room number 1 (one double bed) was very loud, it was hard to sleep. There was also a lot of tiny ant-looking bugs crawling all over the walls at night. There was only a few left in the day, so I guess they're nocturnal. It was stressful to sleep surrounded by these walls. You need to stand in a line to use the elevator (there are two on the ground floor and only one of them goes to even numbered floors). Overall this hotel was okay to spend one night in if you really have to.

Excellent service ! It is a family owned guest house, in a central location. Very friendly and amable. I booked last minute for the night, and I had to wake up the lady in the middle of the night because I had forgotten the entry code to the guest house... Despite those difficulties, both issues were handled very professionaly and swiftly. The place was clean, nothing to complain about, despite being located in the Chungkins Mansion building (tower B). I will come back for sure !! (and taking good note of the exact entrance code this time... sorry again for this, miss Li)
