Ramada Hong Kong Harbour View

The room is very old, they don’t change the beddings! Breakfast is awful. Elevator is very noisy as well.

I recently stayed at the Ramada Hong Kong Harbour View for two nights and, regrettably, found the experience thoroughly disappointing. Despite its branding, the hotel is neither on the harbour nor does it offer a genuine “harbour view” from seaside facing rooms. The property is located approximately 400 to 500 meters from the actual seafront, requiring a 5–10 minute walk to reach the water. From my room on the 30th floor, for which I paid extra to secure a “sea view,” the harbour was only partially visible, obscured by several surrounding buildings. (Please refer to attached photos.) The room itself was shockingly small. When I raised this with the duty receptionist, I was told that all rooms across the hotel’s 36 floors are exactly the same size — a revelation that only added to my dismay. The bathroom was the smallest I’ve encountered in any international hotel brand. The wash basin was barely the width of my slippers, the toilet seat had broken rests, and there was no surface to place even a toothbrush glass. The bed featured a hard spring mattress with a thin topper, and the springs audibly creaked and pressed through whenever I shifted position. Cleanliness was also lacking: a gold-painted wooden frame around the TV was coated in dust, clearly accumulated over months, if not years. (Again, photographic evidence is provided.) In short, the hotel’s name and marketing are misleading, and the facilities fall far below the standard expected of a Ramada-branded property. If this were in the UK, I would seriously consider legal action for misrepresentation and failure to disclose material facts about the room size and location. Not value for money. I do not recommend the Ramada Hong Kong Harbour View Hotel.

The name of the hotel.. Harbour View is misleading as high rise buildings in front of the hotel has actually blocked the harbour view. Harbour View was a main reason we booked this hotel. The room is very old fashioned, small, even one side of the queen size bed is placed against a wall without a gap, our 2 luggage had to be placed on the floor and left with a narrow walkway. Very small TV on the wall. Telephone in the room is out of service. Not enough plug points so they use an extension cable! The fridge is also functioning well. Shower room in the toilet is also tight, still use a shower curtain🙄 The hotel didn't event provide bottled mineral water in the room, also no plastic bag in the 2 dustbins! Got to wait long for the lift as sometimes the lift didn't stop at the floor we were waiting, we don't know why... The morning buffet breakfast had limited varieties and served the same foods over the 3 days we were there.
