Empire Hotel Hong Kong－Wan Chai

I stayed for a full 9 nights on a business trip (room 615 guest), so I've got a pretty comprehensive feel for the hotel. Overall, it offers excellent value for money; at this price point, it's really hard to find fault. 👍 ✅ Location & Transport Right next to Wan Chai MTR station, just a few minutes' walk. The tram stop is right downstairs, and it's easy to hail a taxi. Getting to Central and Causeway Bay is a breeze. ✅ Ambiance & Guests The hotel is very popular; you often see tour groups and families, which makes it lively but not noisy. It felt quite safe and comfortable. ✅ Service Experience I especially want to commend the cleaning staff on my floor. My room was meticulously cleaned every day, with great attention to detail. Towels were neatly folded, and supplies were replenished promptly. It always looked so welcoming, and I genuinely appreciate their thoughtfulness. ❤️ Front desk and other staff were also very responsive, and communication in Mandarin was seamless, absolutely no issues. ✅ Room & Facilities The room is quite spacious for Hong Kong standards, so it didn't feel cramped or oppressive. Daily cleaning was thorough, and the shower facilities drained quickly with stable water temperature. ✅ Breakfast The variety is rich, offering both Chinese and Western options. After breakfast, I wouldn't feel hungry until around 3 PM. ⚠️ Minor Drawbacks 1️⃣ Drinking water was only provided on the first night of check-in and not replenished thereafter. Perhaps water costs are high in Hong Kong. 💧 2️⃣ There's no self-service laundry room, so I had to go out to do laundry, which was a bit inconvenient. 🌟 Summary Despite the minor flaws, the overall experience – factoring in location, service, room comfort, and breakfast quality – makes it excellent value for the price. A special thanks to the cleaning staff on the 6th floor for their meticulous care; it significantly enhanced my long-term stay. I'll definitely prioritize this hotel on my next trip to Hong Kong! 😊✈️

The Empire Hotel Hong Kong · Wan Chai is located in the heart of Hong Kong Island, just about a 10-minute walk from the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Getting around is super convenient. From Hong Kong International Airport, you can take Citybus A11 to Luard Road Station on Hennessy Road, and it's only a 90-meter walk from there, costing HKD 41.9. Similarly, you can walk 90 meters from the hotel to Fenwick Street Station on Gloucester Road to catch a direct bus back to Hong Kong International Airport. The hotel itself is clean, tidy, and comfortable, with no strange odors, offering great value for money – truly an ideal choice for business travelers. What's more, there are tons of eateries around the hotel, allowing you to sample all sorts of Hong Kong's delicious cuisine. During this trip to Hong Kong, we specifically came to visit the 36th Hong Kong Book Fair and were deeply impressed by the Hong Kong public's, especially the youth's, eagerness for knowledge and reading! The book fair was bustling with people every day. The sheer variety and scale of books on display were truly astonishing! A thriving culture is indeed the hope and future for Hong Kong!

The overall condition of the walls is quite old, and some areas are stained, which is hard to fix. It's not really dirty, though. The bedding was very clean and comfortable to sleep on, and the toilet was spotless. However, the bathroom's drainage was pretty mediocre.

The transportation here is excellent, and the staff are very friendly and the cleanliness is top-notch. I really liked the hotel staff. The room was quite comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. I love Hong Kong and will definitely stay here again next time.

The hotel service was excellent. The room was clean, quiet, and in a great, easy-to-find location. There are many convenience stores and cafes downstairs, and plenty of food options. It's really good, and convenient for getting anywhere. The front desk service was also great.

The hotel facilities are a bit old, but it's clean and tidy. The location is excellent, making it super convenient for dining and getting around. You can take the A11 bus directly from the airport, and it's just a 2-minute walk from the bus stop. It's also very close to the Wan Chai MTR station. Downstairs, there's a lively bar street that's quite bustling at night, and there are all sorts of restaurants nearby. I've stayed here three times now.

This was my first time staying at the Empire Hotel in Wan Chai, and my initial impression was that everything was perfect, aside from the small room. 😊 The hotel staff were very friendly and easy to communicate with. It's within walking distance to Causeway Bay, Victoria Peak, Bank of China Tower, Central, Golden Bauhinia Square, the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, and the Star Ferry, among other places.
