Empire Hotel Hong Kong - Causeway Bay

Our stay at The Emperor Hotel Causeway Bay in Hong Kong was absolutely fantastic! As soon as my daughter walked in, she said she loved it. I immediately started taking photos and posted on social media about how wonderful and elegant this hotel is. We were on the 29th floor, and the large window offered stunning views of Victoria Harbour. The ceilings are high, and they provided toothbrushes, soap, coffee, and tea. On the second day, we even received a complimentary bottle of mineral water. The front desk also offers free tea, coffee, and newspapers. This hotel completely shattered my preconceptions about Hong Kong accommodation being expensive and small. The Tin Hau MTR station is super convenient for getting around. On our last day, when we stored our luggage, they even gave us two Ferrero Rocher chocolates as we left – so polite and incredibly thoughtful! My daughter and I both agreed that we'll definitely stay here again next time we visit Hong Kong! Several parents who saw my Hong Kong trip photos have asked me where we stayed, and I've been recommending The Emperor Hotel Causeway Bay without hesitation! You can really see how much we loved this hotel from my photos!

The rooms in Hong Kong are compact but well-equipped. They even thoughtfully provided a universal travel adapter. The location is very close to Tin Hau MTR station, with many restaurants nearby, making it very convenient for getting around. Overall, it was a great experience.

Traveling with family, I booked two rooms with 1.8m beds. The space was decent, not a shoebox. It was quite convenient for getting around, with buses and subways nearby, and plenty of dining options.

Reasonably priced, clean rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows offering a pleasant sea view – a delightful surprise! Housekeeping was prompt, and the hotel's proximity to the MTR station made getting around very convenient. I'd definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Hong Kong.

The location is fantastic, right next to Tin Hau, in a very local neighborhood. It's quiet but not isolated, and if my booking hadn't been non-refundable, I would have definitely extended my stay. There are great food options nearby, like Wah So's Clear Broth Beef Brisket and the Black Sesame Ice Cream from Warm Heart Cheese. The service attitude, from the lobby to the doorman, was very kind and friendly. The room was small but had everything you needed. The bed was a bit short though, my 170cm kid's feet were hanging off the end! But overall, it was a good stay.

First off, the front desk. There was a male staff member who completely ignored me when I tried to ask a question. He just pretended not to see me. I was speaking with a mainland Chinese accent. The hotel also looks nothing like the pictures. A 600+ yuan room was tiny, tiny. The facilities are exactly as pictured. It was incredibly noisy in the middle of the night, with a constant buzzing sound. The soundproofing was so bad I could clearly hear what the people next door were saying. I mainly want to emphasize how bad the front desk service was. I recommend speaking English, especially with one particular male front desk staff member.

There was a constant 24-hour noise from an outdoor factory. This hotel is tiny, the hygiene is subpar, and the facilities are old. The photos on the platform are very misleading; I have no idea how it's ranked among the top luxury hotels.

The service was excellent, and the location was great too! There are plenty of restaurants and snack shops downstairs, plus a 24-hour convenience store for anything you need. It's a bit of a walk to the MTR station, and the room isn't huge, but it's equipped with a table for eating, which is standard for Hong Kong rooms. It offers really good value for money. They also have complimentary tea in the lobby for guests to enjoy while waiting or resting.
