Hong Kong is known for its high property prices, so to get a spacious sea-view room, I chose the L'hotel. The hotel lobby wasn't easy to find, and the navigation wasn't very accurate. I circled the bus terminal downstairs for a while, mainly because there were no hotel signs along the main route. I had to keep asking for directions until I reached the shopping mall on the first floor that leads to the hotel lobby. The hotel reception is on the 41st floor. Upon check-in, I was upgraded to a suite. The room was indeed large, with one bedroom, one living room, one kitchen, and two bathrooms – spacious and bright, offering sea views in the morning.
The downside was a strong urine odor as soon as I entered the bathroom. I called a staff member who only brushed the toilet. It smelled good right after, but the urine odor returned almost immediately. Later, I discovered the smell was coming from the shower area. I ran hot water through the shower for a long time – am I supposed to be the cleaner here? It was quite a mood killer.
Secondly, there was no bottled water in the room, only a water dispenser. The dispenser was dusty, and after boiling a few cups, it ran out of water. I asked the front desk, and they said I could just fill it from the tap. But tap water isn't safe to drink directly! There was no direct drinking water tap at all, so I decided not to drink. However, I got thirsty late at night and called for assistance. The staff member, still very cold, said they only had tap water and no bottled water. The tap water was too cold to drink since it wasn't potable, and the hot water would take a long time to heat. I was extremely thirsty, and it was inconvenient to go out and buy water in the middle of the night, especially since the hotel is in a remote location and I probably wouldn't find any anyway. It was truly frustrating and incredibly unaccommodating.
Lastly, this expensive hotel is just that – expensive – with no human touch. The service lacked warmth, and attention to detail was poor. There wasn't even a sewing kit in the room. The front desk proactively upgraded me to a suite, even though I had already booked a sea-view room. Why was my original sea-view room sold off and not kept for me? Would my sea-view room also not have bottled water? This feels like a disguised deprivation of my rights, plus I had to pay a deposit that takes 14 working days to refund. All in all, it was a very poor value for money night, and my only wish during the stay was to check out as quickly as possible.

The bed in the room was decent, quite large. However, the room size felt smaller than what I've experienced on previous stays. I wasn't happy about having to walk a long way with my luggage and take a detour because the hotel hallway was under renovation. I only stayed for one night, so I didn't get to experience any other hotel services.

The room was quite spacious for Hong Kong standards, and the facilities were decent. It's right next to Tsuen Wan West MTR station, making transportation very convenient. It's the best hotel in the area, though the price is a bit on the higher side.

I've stayed at the Nina Hotel numerous times over the past decade. My last visit, a couple of years ago, seemed to be after a change in management and operations. They started requiring a deposit and no longer offered room upgrades to returning guests, so for my next trip to Hong Kong, I switched to a different hotel. This time, however, I booked Nina Hotel again, and I noticed an improvement in service. They no longer asked for a deposit, and I was lucky enough to get a complimentary upgrade to a sea-view room. The housekeeping staff was incredibly responsive and helpful. The hotel's location is also very convenient for transportation, food, and drinks, offering a real local vibe.

Excellent! The hotel is brand new and in a very lively area. They even upgraded my room, which was a nice touch. The room was also very clean. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in town!

During my stay, there was a strong musty smell in the room. Some areas were undergoing renovations, which wasn't a good sight. After discussing it with the staff, I was moved to a larger room. Overall, the stay experience was quite poor, and I hope the hotel can make improvements.

The rooms are quite spacious, and the low-floor sea view rooms are also great. The higher-floor rooms are slightly larger and newer. It's rare to find such big beds in Hong Kong. The location is excellent. The air conditioning is a bit noisy. Downstairs, the A31 bus goes directly to the airport, and the MTR is also very convenient. The hotel is located inside a shopping mall, and there's a wet market and fruit store conveniently located across the street downstairs. I really enjoyed the beef brisket noodles, fresh shrimp wontons, roast goose rice, durian pineapple buns, and egg tarts in the surrounding area, and they weren't expensive either.

The hotel's cleanliness was a major issue. On our first night, we found stained and torn cups on the bed. We enjoyed a relaxing bath on the first day, but then no one came to clean the room until I checked out. They only came in to replenish the disposable toiletries.
