Two words – **** hole.
Horrible place. Awful service. Terrible conditions.
First, the name doesn’t match. It’s called Everest Hostel, not New Guangzhou Hotel. Careless and sluggish receptionist refused to provide me the room I booked and fully prepaid a week ago, saying they don’t have other rooms and he can only cancel my booking. Instead I was given a smaller room of a different type, where everything was either broken or poorly working and shabby/dirty.
Customer service couldn’t contact the “hotel”, they simply didn’t pick up.
¥500 for several hours of a nightmare…
