The host is great and really nice. She made my stay enjoyable and helped me for some little things I needed. The room is small yes, but it was comfy and very clean. The building in which the guesthouse is located might feel a bit unsafe at first, but I had no issues during the few days I spent there. The only thing I didn't like is that there was no real window in the room, but besides that everything was fine.

Chungking Mansion is a large building with many multicultural (South Asian) shops on the ground floor, and dozens and dozens of apar**ents renting out their rooms to tourists. Go look up Chungking Mansions reviews on Google Maps. I would recommend anyone who can afford it to go to a proper hotel, but if you are on a tight budget, then Yanzhou Hotel is okay. The room was reasonably clean and the hostess seemed relaxed.
