This is my first time traveling to Hong Kong. I chose Yulin mainly because of budget considerations, and the location is convenient and not too far from various attractions.
When I first arrived... I was actually a little surprised... because the entire building was under construction on the exterior wall and the elevator was old and smelled...
In addition to the clean and tidy decoration of the hotel, walking out of the hotel is like entering another world...
But at least the inside of the hotel is neat and clean. I stayed in room 6 for 5 nights.
The hotel adopts unmanned self-service check-in, and there are hotel contact information at the door, such as WeChat, What App, Line.... (mainly via WeChat)
You will be informed of the password for the "door" and the password for the room inside. Then there is a room magnetic card attached, which can be used to swipe the door and personal room.
This way you don’t have to press the password all the time, which is very convenient.
The interior of the room is neat and tidy, but when I open the door, I feel a strange smell... I'm not sure if it's the smell of cigarette smoke or something... It feels like it's been accumulated for a long time...
I quickly turned on the air conditioner, and the smell gradually disappeared. However, I later discovered that the smell seemed to come from the toilet... even though the fan in my toilet kept blowing.
It seems that there is still that smell...but it is still within the range that I can tolerate, so I have not reported it to the hotel.
The space is not very big, but since I am staying alone, the space is enough, and room 6 seems to have the largest bathroom.
As for the facilities, they come with shampoo and shower gel, which are not available in hotels at similar prices. This is one of the reasons why I chose them.
However...I have to be honest and say that the attached one didn't feel clean...then I went to buy shampoo and shower gel myself.
There is a socket at the bedside, and the hotel has thoughtfully plugged the adapter into it, but there is only one. The entire socket panel also has Tape C and USB holes.
But I still wish it could come with an extension cord, so it would be much more convenient if I have multiple electronic devices that need to be charged.
The announcement of the building's exterior wall construction is posted in the elevator. Currently, I see that the construction date is until 2024/06/25
Time is 09:00~18:00. If you go out to play before 09:00, it won’t have much impact, but if you sleep past 9:00...
The sound of chiseling the wall will wake you up like an alarm clock....
For me, the overall check-in experience was OK. I didn’t reply for a long time if I contacted you via WeChat. There is a water dispenser for filling water when you enter the gate.
I think this is quite important... because in the past few days... I have seen the prices of bottled water sold in various stores... It is really expensive...
It will be cheaper to bring a kettle or use an empty plastic bottle to fill the water
The above are my personal experiences and thoughts for your reference.
