Woodcote Hotel

Vert highly recommended! Food was absolutely superb. Service excellent. Rooms are tastfully decorated, spacious and comfortable. Lovely garden area. quiet location. The staff where most helpful. We have now booked the woodcote hotel for our wedding venue and look forward to inviting our friends and family to our big day!

We celebrated our Golden wedding anniversary in the function room with family and friends at the weekend. We were delighted with the venue, the room is lovely with all the amenities needed in the room and double doors out to a very pretty garden area which was perfect for guests to sit outside in the lovely weather or the children to play in. There was also an act performing in the garden area who were very good and this was a real bonus. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough for us. At the end of the celebration the staff didn't rush us to leave and even offered us drinks as we waited for our transport home and then gave us a bottle of prosecco to take home. Thanks to Sarah who helped us to organise the event and was always happy to meet with us whenever we required and to organise changes to the buffet menu. We can't praise the hotel and staff enough and would have no hesitation in returning for future events.

Excellent, friendly and accommodating, really enjoyed our recent three night stay . Everything was exactly as described in the hotel information. Clean, tidy, staff respectful and well mannered, restaurant homely , food perfectly prepared. Room was comfortable in a row adjacent to the garden. Well located to tour the Chester area.(especially the Zoo) Many thanks for 7am continental breakfast before official restaurant opening time (8am) as we had to catch the Liverpool to Belfast ferry. If living in Northern Ireland and touring Cheshire no worries about staying at the Woodcote 👍👍

The hotel is under new management since our last stay and has completely turned around our past experience. The staff could not do enough to make sure you had a pleasant stay. We sent messages about the things we needed to have in place in advance, they provided or made sure the compromise was good for us. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The bed just right and king-size! The bathroom was the same, but there were two points that need improvement. The shower takes ages to come to temperature and is not at all powerful. Also there is no towel rail close to the shower which could be dangerous high risk of slipping to get to the rail on the other side of a large room. All the amenities are there, though and well maintained as well as thoroughly clean. We went and stayed for a party on one evening. This was all arranged with them and was extremely well managed with delicious food, too! We had booked all our meals away from the hotel, but regretted it when we saw the quality, presentation and variety of things on offer! We will definitely stay again for the fuller package. Thank you all the staff for a wonderful weekend stay.

We stayed at the Woodcote last week to attend a social event held in the function room. We stayed in a suite in the row of little cottages alongside the hotel and really enjoyed our stay. The room was very large and comfortable and we had a lovely relaxed stay. There is a really beautiful outside area with sitting areas and gardens and a small separate bar and the atmosphere is very friendly and relaxed. The food and wine at the event were very good and the service was really efficient too - very pleasant, engaging and hard working young staff. We also had a great experience at breakfast the next morning - special thanks to our waitress Barbara who was very enthusiastic, friendly and helpful! The continental selection was absolutely amazing with a wide range of fruits, cereals, yogurts etc etc and Barbara served our freshly cooked hot food which was really well cooked and hot and beautifully presented and really made our stay specially enjoyable. We highly recommend this well run small hotel. Thank you.

Property was conveniently situated. Parking was easy. Room was clean and tidy, beds were comfortable. Breakfast was well priced and delicious, with reasonable choice available. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Didnt give five stars for facilities as bar closes early when quiet so wasn't available for a 10pm nightcap! Would stay again!
