Horseshoe Bay Resort

My dad and I enjoyed a wonderful meal to celebrate my birthday on June 3 at J’s Restaurant and Bar. Our server, Kim, was excellent—very attentive and friendly. The burgers were perhaps the best I’ve ever had! We look forward to returning in the future.

Overall a good stay. The property is in a great area about 10 minutes outside of Marble Falls. I liked the fact that the hotel itself isn't huge compared to some of the other resorts in the Texas Hill Country so it doesn't feel as crowded as the others. The food on property was pretty disappointing especially considering how strong the food scenes are in Texas' major cities. After one meal (lunch), we decided to eat all meals off property from there on out which turned out great because Marble Falls had some nice options. There were some entertaining activities on property that we enjoyed including miniature golf and the grounds themselves were nice / well maintained. Would most likely return in the future when looking for a change from some of the branded options in the region.

One of our favorite places of all time! Staff is world class. I have been all over the world, and there is none better. Property is a gem in the middle of Texas. We are wanting to live here it is so amazing. Not one bad thing to say about this place. LOVE it and you will, too.

We booked one night at the resort as our "mini moon" after eloping the day before and it was our first night away from our infant son. Unfortunately, our experience felt like a bait and switch. This was my first time at the resort but my now husband had stayed many times previously, which means he had an expectation of what our experience would be like based on previous stays. When we arrived at the resort, we were informed that the Yacht Club was now a members only experience, which was a huge let down since it was the entire reason we booked our stay at the resort in the first place. Of course, the resort is allowed to change its policies but there was zero information or communication about this change prior to our arrival, making us feel a little cheated. The front desk informed us there was a new pool we would have access to as a hotel guest, but it is a poor second compared to the Yacht Club. There are limited umbrellas and very little shade, which is crazy considering the Texas heat, and no bathrooms other than an upscale port-a-potty that smell bad as the heat intensifies. Additionally, we forced to leave the property for dinner that night because we couldn't eat at the Yacht Club, which was never communicated to us to begin with, and the one restaurant available to guests was booked for the night. All in all, it was a really disappointing experience that left us wondering what we were paying for. Luckily (or unluckily?), the power went out that night and so were were comped for our night, which was a bit of a relief. My advice to the resort is two fold: 1) Make it clear to your previous guests prior to booking that they no longer have access to previous amenities so they don't feel cheated when they arrive. We felt lied to that the change was never communicated on the website. 2) Figure out how you are going to continue to make the resort a special place that is worth the stay for hotel visitors. Many of the amenities that made it worth the money are no longer available, and a sub-par pool experience to replace the Yacht Club doesn't make it feel like a worthwhile experience.

Dinner at Caprock was delicious! We had excellent service from Ellye - she’s bubbly and fun and we had a great time! Bar service was a little slow but worth the wait! The redfish is my favorites and once again, it did not disappoint. The views are amazing, love sitting in the “treehouse”!

Enjoyed recent 4 day staycation away from the real world. So glad I decided to come here instead of the higher priced resorts/wellness retreats in Austin. Minute I entered my room, felt the tensions/stress/worries of life released while looking at the sunset overlooking the pool area. HBR must've done a major reno as everything in my room was modern, comfortable, stylish. Only had 1 dinner at Waterfront, one the resort's many restaurants as I wanted to checked out HB and Marble Falls. The staff were all so welcoming, helpful and could see that they enjoyed working at HBR. Enjoyed walking the trails around the resort, felt safe and lots to see! Hope to return some day soon!

Madi & Megan were great servers, they provided great service and made sure we always had our drinks! The whole staff was great and were nice to all of our guests. It was my first time in horseshoe bay and it was definitely a great experience. I will definitely be returning for another trip.

Melyssa at the Horseshoe Bay Resort bar was fantastic. She greeted me warmly and crafted a delicious Banana Nut Old Fashioned. Her friendly and attentive service made my visit special. Highly recommend stopping by to experience Melyssa's exceptional service.
