Staff was very friendly and helpful. Many amenities available such as interior pool, spa, gym.
There was a broken door in our room but after reporting it to reception it was fixed in less than 30 minutes.

Wunderschöne Lage direkt an der Stadtmauer. Zum Stadtzentrum sind es nur wenige Minuten zu Fuß. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und geräumig. Frühstück und Abendessen: die Buffets sind sehr reichhaltig und abwechslungsreich. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich.

Dangerous Tub I found the Vila Galé to be a very comfortable and well run hotel in both Cascais and Evora. High Marks BUT their bathtubs are treacherous and dangerous. Either no grab bars or grab bars that were worthless. The glass partition blocked access to the shower handle grab bar. . The glass wall also does not allow stepping onto the anti-slip devices. Instead one is forced to step onto the slick porcelain of the back end of the tub. Easy if you are 20, treacherous if you are 80 and recovering from a broken arm. I had to forego showering after the first effort. Dangerous.
