The Horta Hotel is located in the town of Horta, Faial Island the rooms are air conditioned, T Its restaurant, Hortinsia, is ideal pha a magnificent view of the Pico Mountain. those who have time can enjoy a swimming pool and a garden for moments of relaxation.

What a fantastic Hotel. The Staff without exception were the best we've experienced in a long time. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent both breakfast and dinner. The lovely chef recommended the Swordfish for our second dinner having been caught 4 hours before. It was an absolute delight. Our lovely room had a view of Pico. Definitely a fantastic trip.

The large rooms all come with a lovely balcony and view. The restaurant is good and so is the bar (also with a nice view) It's a bit up hill from the main part of town and harbor, although we walked it a number of times and there are plenty of taxis if you don't feel like a walk. We really enjoyed our stay.

Hotel a short distance on foot from the historic center of Horta, structured "amphitheatrically" so that all the rooms face the internal garden, with swimming pool, and have a view of the island of Pico. The rooms are large, comfortable, and have a small balcony. Laminated flooring (no carpet). The lighting in the room is poor, which makes it a little sad in the evening. Few wall sockets to charge mobile phones and PCs at the same time. or other electronic devices. Free Wifi network available to guests, but without security password. The common room for breakfast/dinner is large and bright, equipped with a rich buffet. The collection of used plates by some members of the dining room staff was a little too "pressing", as they literally "pulled away" the dishes on which the last mouthful of food was being consumed... Courteous reception staff, who also speaks English. Overall, a hotel in which we enjoyed our stay and which we recommend.

We were given room 202 which happens to be below the restaurant and bar. All we could hear was chairs being pulled across the hardwood floor and kids running back and forth. If you choose to stay here make sure it’s on the 4th floor or higher.

Hotel poco distante dall'aeroporto di Horta, dotato di piscina e bar, oltre ad una sala colazione con buffet che varia tra dolce e salato (al momento gli ingressi sono scaglionati per fasce orarie di 30 minuti). Le camere ( una doppia con letto aggiuntivo, nel mio caso) sono spaziose e i letti comodi. Il bagno è comodo e funzionale. Dal balcone situato nel piano dell'ingresso è possibile godere di una bellissima vista sull'isola di Pico.

While the review of the hotel is not that great, I have to start with mentioning the hotel staff. They were absolutely the best, super nice, super helpful, super friendly and super accommodate and that goes to say for every person we dealt with. As for the rooms themselves it does not go that far. The rooms seem to be from another time frame and not the future. The TV in the room requires 2 remotes and they still fo not work, even if you get them to work somehow the quality is so bad that you still can't see anything. There is a TV in the reception but it's always cartoons as kids have no other escape. The WiFi in the room is non existent, so if you need to look something up guess what you are headed back to the lobby. The hair drier if probably 50 years old and is too difficult to use as it heats up and super hot to hold. Shower is another story, as there is no hot water and the shower head does no stay up, if you manage to put it in do not get alarmed when it falls in the middle of the night. As for the safe, you need to ask for a lock and key at the front desk, which I guess is better than not having one at all. It is advertised as a 4 star hotel, but don't even have basic tissues in the room
