As you may see in my other reviews I usually have something positive to say. It is unfortunate this stay is happening right now ! I ask for a room cleaning on my four night stay and the excuses fly off by the manger of reasons why I was not given a room cleaning even though I left for eight hours after 10 am . Lectured about minimum amount of towels given. Then called on the phone in my room and given the same lecture my husband had just received in the lobby. Okay I understand people steal and I am just trying to make sure we bathe and we rented a suite for five I know it may be over the top but we shower twice a day at home. AND ON VACATION I am lectured each time I encounter the hotel management. I am reminded about COVID19 Staff shortages and rules of IHG Never mind I traveled staying in IHG hotels Other places and loved and enjoyed my stay. I didn’t mind making my bed or having to take towels to my room or having trash cans overflowing . I understand job shortage I am sorry this particular Holiday Inn is suffering I think it is time for management to exam their interpersonal skills and customer service. Just understand this is a vacation for a family of five and we wanted to be treated as if we are on vacation in a pleasant manner. The breakfast food fantastic; sweet lady caring and attentive, the housekeeper in charge very nice yet she also reminded me it was a five towel minimum. Once again the manager on duty reminded me…he was telling me okay we are going to give you a extra towel but “ IHG policy”….” Okay yes sir but I have stayed in IHG pre and post COVID19 and never been treated in such a manner over a simple request of please clean my room. The room needs TLC shows and wear and tear over many many years of service. All the more reason to be caring and giving customer care not lecturing your consumers on VACATION!

I was very disappointed in this hotel, for being a Hilton & the amount we paid for a standard double queen room. It didn't come with a breakfast, you had to buy off the menu. The bar was closed due to a ”sick employee” which obviously couldn't have been helped. It looks nice but the cleanliness wasn't what it should've been, especially in the age of Covid. There was dried toothpaste on the door of the bathroom and vanity under the sink. The mirror was dirty and spattered. There was slash marks in the bottom sheet on one of the beds. The entire room needed dusting, there was a thin layer of dust over everything except the highly used furniture aka dresser and refrigerator/microwave area. You could write your initials in the layer of dust that's on the lamps & AC/heat unit. It needed maintenance, whoever painted the room needs lessons, my OCD was going out of control looking at a spot on the ceiling. There was a screw loose on the towel rack in the shower. There was a big stain on the door in the bathroom and orange mold in the shower. There was a hole/scuff in the paint on the wall by the bed. (I do want to mention I've worked in a hotel as a housekeeper in a hotel that won many awards for cleanliness 2+ decades ago and my daughter is a manager over housekeeping at another hotel, so I know what to look for) The staff was very nice and helpful, they gave us an extended check out time when we asked. The beds were comfortable and pillows super fluffy.

There are better places to stay for the same price. Hotel is rundown and poorly maintained. Had two rooms and both had TV issues. Worse yet, both of them smelled, one from the garbage disposal and the other from the open freezer door. Tried to air them out and asked for clorox to kill the disposal but they didn't have any. The bigger issue was their lack of feel for customer service. My son goes to UofA and came to see his grandfather who is in a wheelchair and in recently poor health. We sat in the lobby to talk but were told we couldn't stay there because Sean, the manager, would see us on the security camera and tell us to leave. I explained that our rooms were small, our TVs didn't work and why were were meeting but the lobby attendant said it was only a matter of time. We told him to tell Sean that we would only be there for a short time and that we were not bothering anyone since it was Saturday night and no one was checking in. Didn't matter, Sean called in a while latter and said we had to go to our rooms or leave. Hey, Sean, get out of your parents basement and off the creepy security cameras. Have some feel for what is going on in your hotel by listening to your employees who were there and didn't really think it was a big deal for us to hang out in a lobby that was not busy. The Graduate is a much better hotel with a welcoming lobby.

GGuest UserI stay at this hotel a couple of times a month. The staff is always friendly and helpful. During my last stay, I accidentally left my I-phone charger in the room. I called the next day to see if it had been turned into lost and found. It had not but the staff checked my room and called me back when they found my charger. Upon arriving for my next visit, Hydisia remembered my name and had my charger ready for me at the front desk. It is the small things that make a big difference. Thank you, Gary M

Right off the highway so it's mostly occupied by out of town workers. Parking lot full of work vehicles but still spots to be used. Definitely what we would call a ”roach motel” growing up. Front desk staff kept making small talk with the customer in front of me. I ended up standing there waiting (while exhausted) for some time while they chit chatted at 12am. Room is very outdated and TV remote buttons aren't working right. Click power and it just changes the channel. Smells musty and is humid in the room. Bathroom leaves a lot to be desired. The most important thing. It is now 3am. This is the single most uncomfortable concrete slate of a bed I have ever laid on in my entire life. I am considering sleeping in my car. I have piled the pillows under me and still it is too uncomfortable to sleep on. If I went outside and slept on some construction gravel, it would be a similar sensation. Why would I bother going to report this to the desk? They can't provide a new mattress or dehumidify this fart of a motel room. Total waste of my money. I should have stayed anywhere else. If you value your back and want to feel rested, or simply want to not breathe hot wet air and not watch QVC on the TV that doesn't turn off.....find another place to sleep.
