Hawklee Country House

Tanya and Sean were wonderful hosts. Breakfast was excellent. A beautiful ambience close to Nottingham Road and N2. I stayed there one night on my way to Drakensberg. I wished I could have stayed longer.

Had a lovely stay. Tanya and her hubby were wonderful attentive hosts. Paid extra attention to detail with great breakfasts. Look forward to staying there again in the future and will definitely recommend to others

Lovely peaceful setting along a lovely steam which holds lots of bird life. Personal attention with great service. Good access to midlands meander. A must for nature lovers that want to appreciate some tranquility away from city rushed life.

We had the most wonderful three night stay at Hawklee. Idyllic location, so peaceful surrounded by nature and the sounds of running water from the Lions River was very special. Tanya was an incredible hostess. The food was generous and tasty - it had all the qualities of fancy food with the real warmth and heart of homemade cooking. We had lots of privacy in our chalet but also thoroughly enjoyed games and drinks in Sean and Tanya’s much loved Irish pub - Seananigans. It was such a great breakaway. I can’t wait to return

Highly recommend, a perfect getway. The food was fantastic, serving breakfast and dinner. The room was perfect with a spa bath. There is lots to do in the area. There is also a nice walk along the river.

What a wonderful few days, we were treated like special guests and Tanya made us beautiful and delicious meals!! Such a privilege not to worry about that😳 lovely warm and welcoming pub after long days and the rooms were very comfortable…

We love staying at Hawklee Country House any chance we get, it's clean, beautiful views of the flowing river, quite central in the KZN Midlands, lovely food and Tanya and her husband are just the best hosts.

We sadly stayed for just one night but we will definitely come again! The property is located in the middle of nature, with a river nearby where you can go for walks really well! The rooms are huge and also really clean with great beds, which even had heating blankets, so we all sleeped well. Also tanya and jean, the owners, are so nice and willing to help when you have any problems! They lead the facility with so much love and enthusiasm so you can only feel like home. When we were there also their two sons were visiting with their girlfriend and wife which all helped by serving and stuff there. In the little irish pub inside the house we spend an amazing evening with the family and had a lot of fun, while playing 2 in a row, listening to music and talking! We also had dinner and breakfast there, which also was really delicious and served really lovely. During our whole trip in south africa, we never had that good wifi, which might be because of the additional satallite they installed. They also had generators, so we had wifi and electricity all the time. All in all, it was one of our best stays here and we would really recommend and definitely come again!
