Best Western Plus Carapace Hotel Hua Hin

This hotel is located at the southern end of Hua Hin, a bit far from the city center. Most guests drive here, and there's parking available both inside and outside the hotel. We booked a twin room with a bathtub. The bathtub is in the room, which makes it a bit cramped if you add an extra bed, but without it, the space is quite decent. The hotel has two swimming pools and two restaurants. Due to time constraints, we only used the hotel's pool and the breakfast restaurant. The pool has some water slides and other recreational facilities, making it suitable for families with children. The hotel is a few minutes' walk from a secluded beach, perfect for a stroll or a morning jog. On the main road outside the hotel, there are some convenience stores and restaurants. At the end of the road, you'll find Turtle Mountain and Turtle Mountain Lake. There's a picturesque pavilion in the lake that's great for photos. On Turtle Mountain, there's the Rulai Zen Temple, built into the mountain overlooking the sea, which is worth a visit. It's about a 20-minute walk from the hotel, or you can drive to the foot of the mountain.

The rooms are new, and the lobby faces the pool, making it great for families with kids. The hotel also has a Starbucks by the beach, which is part of the hotel's dining options and seems to be an amenity provided by the hotel.

The room was great, and the beach right outside was uncrowded with a beautiful view. The swimming pool and kids' water park were just downstairs, which my children absolutely loved. Breakfast was also quite good, with a wide variety of options.

The hotel is quite new, and the staff are all very polite. We mainly came for the kids to enjoy the water park. The breakfast was rich and varied, though someone should really be helping out at the waffle station – I saw a lot of people struggling with it.
