After driving for 10 hours we arrived to find the hotel and its restaurant closed. We had a reservation but were never notified. We had what was probably auto generated communication from them early in the day about a particular. If they could do that why couldn’t they notify us the hotel had to shut down???

Check in time was 3pm we got there at 4pm and our room wasn't ready AND they wouldn't let us check in. We had to leave our party and come back to check-in. They were not very understanding. I paid $400 for the room!! Totally ridiculous!

As the organizer for our Game Changers' Athlete Leadership Development Summit & Combine—excellence matters! This is our third year being hosted by Doubletree by Hilton Youngstown, and I couldn't be more impressed. Each year, Mr. Steve Mitchell, the General Manager, ensures that all our arrangements are perfect. When my team and I arrived, the staff was AMAZING as always. As a former Cast Member of Disney, I deeply appreciate the exceptional hospitality we receive during each stay. From the seamless check-in process, personable assistance of Mary, to Audrey— the night auditor, accommodating our unexpected needs or graciously giving me another chocolate chip cookie, the experience is consistently top-notch. Thank you, Steve and the team at Doubletree Youngstown, for your outstanding service!

This is the worst hotel experience I have ever had with the management totally incompetent in my opinion. We had a block of rooms for a family funeral and five rooms were cancelled and not available. That was just the beginning! Desk staff and in particular the Asst Manager were very rude to several family members who spent hours trying to resolve the issues. I was personally told that a reservation does not guarantee a room and that they overbook to them make rooms first come first serve. Most outrageous policy I have ever heard. There was also a wedding group there. Rather than put those guests in an area impacted by loud music, they put some of our group directly under the 12th floor venue blaring music until 11:00 pm. Kids in the room were unable to sleep as a result. Just terrible planning and execution. Strongly suggest readers of this take your business elsewhere.

Word of warning- I booked this hotel as it was close to a concert I was attending. Booked the room back in January . Check in was at 3. Arrived at 4, room not ready. Put luggage back in the car, went to dinner. Went back at 6 pm. Still not ready. Finally checked in at 6:30. There were about 6 other people that had been waiting 2+ hours sitting in the lobby. Several of them missed dinner reservations due to the wait. The folks working there were pleasant, but not helpful. Nothing was done/offered to ease the annoyance of waiting for so long. The convenience of the hotels location was completely ruined by the situation. Extremely disappointing, especially for a Hilton hotel. Will not use this hotel again, ever, and will think twice before booking with Hilton again.
