Wm. Farmer and Sons

This hotel was beautiful. Everyone that worked there was extremely helpful and immediately responsive. The room was outstanding and the soaker tub was wonderful. The hotel is located right off Warren Street making it easy to walk around town. We loved our weekend stay and look forward to staying again!

One of our favorite places in the Hudson Valley. Staying at William Farmer & Sons and having happy hour in the restaurant is like being invited into the community’s home away from home. Very welcoming, excellent service, great food, perfectly located to enjoy all the town and the Valley have to offer.

We enjoyed our stay in the Sawyer Room from late May leaving in June. The room was clean, comfortable temperature, comfortable bed and pillows, coffee and small refrigerator, and balcony. The staff was friendly, taking the time to review room amenities which included keyless entry into the building and room. Close to train station and a short walk to Hudson’s fine dining. Across the street from the river and Chamber of Commerce which was a lovely visit. We would stay here again on our next visit. We were not impressed with the William Farmer & Son’s restaurant as we ate dinner, on Monday night.

We visit Hudson 2-3 times each winter and we only stay at Wm Farmer. The rooms are comfortable, the tavern is amazing, the staff is always welcoming and helpful, and the location is perfect, especially if arriving/departing by train. If you're planning a trip to Hudson or nearby areas, consider visiting Wm Farmer and Sons.

A weekend trip to Hudson is a great way to escape New York city. We took the train and stayed at WM Farmer and Sons (5 min from the train station). You're close to the main street with shops, bars, restaurants and it makes an excellent base to explore Hudson and beyond. The Abigail suite we were in was excellent, luxurious bed and lots of space. The eccletic design of the room was super. We booked a table for diner in their restaurant, for us, it was just a flight of stairs down into the restaurant. Convienent. But beyond that, the food was fantastic. We tried their steak tartare and Argentinian prawns. Fingerlikking good :) I'm most likely to come back next year for a slightly longer stay in Hudson and plan in some hikes too.

Wonderful hospitality and charming inn. The rooms are cozy and decorated with style and taste. We loved that there was a mini bar , ear plugs, etc. The small touches and amenities that make a big difference in experience. The front desk staff is super friendly the coffee bar is really good . We didn't get to eat at the restaurant but did have drinks at the bar and loved the vibe. The location is easy walking to all of Hudson's restaurants and shopping and also very easy parking. Would love to stay again!

While the location and hotel itself is charming, and the staff is lovely, I don’t believe it was worth $500/night (what we paid). The water pressure in the room was subpar and the hot water function on the sink did not work. The biggest downfall was no blackout curtains on the windows, so we were awoken each morning at the crack of dawn by sunlight (so not super restful). Despite these issues, the room was lovely and the bed was very comfortable. Though I do not recommend when rates are hiked up - not worth it.

We had a great stay at this hotel, although, as it was a Tuesday and Hudson appears to be kind of a weekend town in the Spring, we were a little bit disappointed about how many shops and restaurants were closed. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating when we arrived. We had bikes, which they helped us to store for the night. We got good advice about local restaurants as well (unfortunately the ones we wanted to visit were closed that day). The room was clean, comfortable and modern. I'm not a huge fan of the clawfoot tub/shower combo, which wasn't convenient for me, but that's a minor quibble. The in-room coffee was great. As it was my wife's birthday the two bartenders in the restaurant's bar bought us an after dinner drink, which was very thoughtful of them. Furthermore they were really interesting to talk to and had a lot of advice and information regarding the area and the trip we were undertaking on our bikes. They made the end of the evening special to us. All in all a really good stay and I recommend this hotel without hesitation.

Third time at Farmer and Sons, travelling for work this a great hotel in Hudson area near Main street, Great rooms great atmosphere , I also enjoy spending time at the restaurant as well, awesome cocktails and food. Will be back !
