BE CAREFUL RESERVING WITH SUN OUTDOORS! Had a reservation for a tiny house rental at this resort starting April 5, and it turned out I was not able to make the trip. I cancelled and was informed that there would be NO REFUND of my $350.00 deposit paid months ago. I expected to lose at least one night’s reservation, but no! No refund for any of it. Their policy clearly states that they require two weeks notice for a refund. In this day and age, I am blown away at such a stringent policy as life has a way of happening to people. And, I’m sure, that my reservation will be gladly filled by someone else paying the same rate I paid.

#WhereAreLoveyAndMillieHowlNow We are on a year long trip throughout the continental United States in an RV and thought it might be helpful if we added reviews of places we’ve gone or stayed from a dogs perspective. So here we go The humans booked us right outside of Austin, Tx at the Sun Outdoors Lake Travis RV park and we have to say we give this place 🐾🐾🐾🐾’s. 🐶 from a dog perspective one of the things we loved the most were the 3 dog parks! So space for all kinds of dogs regardless of personalities. Each dog park has a few big trees for shade, picnic bench for the humans to sit & 💩 bags and trash close by. While there are no jungle gyms for us to play on, we are ok with that as that gives us more room to run off the crazies. Also no water bowls @ 2 of the parks, but the largest did have a water bowl along with a doggie wash station! The park had nice wide roads throughout so the humans can walk us and if there are any other dogs, each can pick a side of the road if needed! Also a nice off road walking path if you want more spec / adventure. RV site - nice and enough room between RVs so you don’t feel on top of your neighbor. Usually a tree or two per site, picnic table, and grass at site. Humans were happy, 50amp service, great water pressure, and sewer available at each site AND daily trash pick up and while the site was gravel, it was level and no standing water so they were happy. Site was also long enough for a 42’ 5th wheel and long bed truck! RV park - nice wide roads, no low overhanging branche. Pool ( with a airstream cafe), clubhouse, workout facilities, playground for kids and mini golf all a plus. also had tiny cabins that could be rented if needed. Looks like laundry facilities onsite, although we didn’t use. Took about 20-40 mins to get to downtown Austin depending on traffic. We would definitely stay here again, everyone was nice and the park was kept in great condition. One paw knocked off for no fire pits at site. #bringfido

We decided to extend our weekend family RV trip for a couple of days and decided on this amazing location. By far the best park we’ve ever experienced hands down! Christy was fantastic booking over the phone and made it super easy. Once we pulled in, we immediately knew that this team really takes exceptional pride and care with what they do. We were welcomed immediately by Tre and felt an immediate sense of hospitality and pride at what he does as a professional. Gillian was so amazing and accommodating and it was wonderful to meet her and hear her story of how she discovered the property. Can’t thank you guys enough. Also the absolute cleanest and well manicured property we’ve ever experienced, Thank you guys!!! Xoxo

Great park! Everything is very clean and well taken care of! Close to the lake, nice pool and also had a whole heated pool. Staff if nice and very welcoming! This was our 3rd year coming here and we always have a great time! Will definitely return again.

The grounds are amazing with tons of stuff to do within minutes and only 30 min from downtown. Tre, Michael and Christine were 🤩 amazingly helpful and accomodating! We will definitely be back to stay!!!

The washing machines and bathrooms are kept meticulously clean. In general, the infrastructure is very impressive here and the camping sites well designed so with better management people could enjoy a wonderful vacation here. In our case, we were jolted from our sleep around 7:30 AM on Sunday morning because leaf-blowing seems to be the priority not the ability of their guests to enjoy a peaceful night’s rest. I don’t know if there is an on-site manager but everyone else was well awake and angry before 8:00 AM while the droning of the surging leaf blower motor could be heard across the entire resort until 9:00 AM. It is really a shame to see such an awesome property with so many natural rocks and literally millions of dollars in infrastructure improvements echoing with a loud gas operated leaf-blower machine early Sunday morning enraging so many guests. With better management this could be among the top RV resorts in the country. For our part, paying over $70 a night but be denied the ability to sleep past 7:00 AM just makes us feel like chumps. Next time maybe a more modest property even with some leaves on the ground that respects the paying guests.

Resort was outstanding! Employees were very helpful. Mike was the best! He works harder than anyone I know and is always willing to help. He's funny and always smiling! Would definitely recommend this resort.

What a great place for a family. We booked this place by accident that was the closest we found to where we wanted. I was shocked off the amount of things to do for kids and adults. The community is amazing they are so nice very helpful it's a quiet place even though there's a lot of kids the kids has so much to do. The pool the indoor facility they have was Super clean we were so impressed A big variety for games of all ages. The play area for kids was just perfect I love the little addition of sensor lights where they can go and play at night. Close to everything the restaurants and bars are all great around them. Every time we go to Austin from now on this is where we will stay nowhere else Thank you for such a great experience.they also have cabins for rent the cutest cabins I've seen around. Full hookup and honestly the prices were the best we have seen in Austin and San Antonio combined we loved it so much we extended our stay twice lol. Can't wait to go back soon.

The grounds are fantastic and the dog park is huge and well maintained. Too bad the guests don’t really matter to management just the grounds. I am giving them 1 star because at 6:50 on Sunday morning we were woken by a leaf blower! An over 100 decimal gas operated leaf blower is illegal in most municipalities and if allowed it is only before 8:00 AM on Sunday mornings and that is for people sleeping inside houses not motor homes! Who cares how wonderful and park like the atmosphere is if they don’t care about their guests and we get hearing loss at 7:00 AM Sunday morning? An over 110 decibels leaf blower can cause permanent hearing loss in just one minute. Imagine how that sound from inside your RV when someone (wearing hearing protection) is a matter of feet from where you are trying to sleep? Even if this place was free I am not sure I would ever stay here again.
